Cuisine is no from a country

Greets from Argentina.

I am an Italian descendent, and an amateur multicultural cook that really wants to understand the origin of the products that we eat every day, not just open a package and throw it in the pot or the pan.

I started to feel really bad at the start of this documentary because of the Argentine bastardization of Italian food, then I understood that cuisine is not just from a country. We need to have in mind that different countries produce a reduced amount of certain products with variated qualities. The population that lives there are not robots, they have their cultural past of eating certain products or even not eating any of those products before market globalization like butter in Japan. So, this lets us with strange and sometimes cringy things like a pizza with 10 ingredients.

We must be tolerant of our cultural roots and ancestors. Trends on foods are well if they are healthy for our population, we shouldn't be comfortable with people eating 600gr or even more of meat per weekend, not only because of health risk but also because of our planet.

Un grandissimo saluto a tutti gli italiani!

PS: the current top commentary is a guy complaining about foreign accents, what a jerk... I want to know how many languages he knows and if he can even point a country of this documentary in the map that is not the U. S. A.

Talked about many things about Italian food but

But actually said nothing about it. The worst thing of this documentary is the narrator at the beginning. His weird English almost turned me off immediately. Then it started with this and that about Italian food, blah, blah and blah, showed us a lot of the food stands, food peddlers, praised the wonderful cuisine, complained the messy transformation of the traditional Italian food in America. But there's nothing in this documentary to let us know about more Italian food, just blah, blah, and blah. I've lost interest in the middle of it. Given it a 3-Star is already too generous. If you like to see many people eating together again and again, then this documentary is for you.
