This film was somewhat bearable until Brad Sisco and his hives - so utterly pathetic and ridiculous plus you have an independent successful career woman acting like a tween.....
Totally awful......
Plot summary
Thirty year old biochemist Carrie Watson is heading back to the family home in Seattle for her younger sister Lydia Watson's marriage to Brad Sisco, the wedding to take place in the lakeside backyard under the trellis where their own parents, Todd and Judy Watson, got married, and Carrie and Lydia's grandparents before them. Carrie is doing double duty as bridesmaid and wedding cake maker in her newfound love of the activity, equating it to her science background. Wedding cakes take on a new meaning when a story told to her twenty years ago by her mother that she had all but forgotten reenters her life: at Carrie's cousin's wedding then, Judy told her to put a piece of wedding cake under her pillow and she would dream of the man for her. The vision she saw that night has become reality in the form of Brad's best man, web designer Jason Hawkins. Feeling a little out of her element in how to deal with Jason especially as her last serious relationship ended not the way she had wanted, Carrie decides to consult "Just Ask Josie", an online columnist of the lovelorn to which her best friend and fellow biochemist Kaia Graves introduced her in Kaia believing Josie is always right about such matters. While Carrie can admit that she is falling for Jason and not just the thought of him as her literal dream man, the situation gets more complicated for all concerned in that Jason, not really a web designer, is actually Just Ask Josie, something not even Brad knows. While Jason is advising Carrie via the column and as Carrie follows that advice, neither knows how close they are to the other, this secret life of Jason's which may kibosh a relationship that both seem to want.

My Cake Totally Collapsed
My Cake Fell
This is just a lot of sappy silliness. When will I ever learn?
The male lead is sexy and sweet with a big secret. She acts like a silly schoolgirl. Coy might be the word here but there is nothing alluring about her behavior. What is she afraid of? Growing up maybe.
The plot is solid and makes for good romantic conflict to push the story forward. There has to be a reason for girl to hate boy and this one comes through, dumb as it is. The acting and directing are ok but the writing could use some help.
Production values are good. Sound, lighting, etc.
Sweet Family Movie
A decent family movie where nothing inappropriate is shown or done. It kept me entertained throughout the entire movie. You won't see sex, butts, or people's tongues down anyone's throat. If that is the type of movie that you like, then move on and don't watch this then give it a bad review just because is isn't up to your immoral standards. I wish there were more like this out there.
