Ahhh... My eyes....my brains...

Wow that was bad.....the joke is on me really, 125 min of my life I won't get back. I agree with other reviewers, not really for kids.

Only mildly entertaining and enjoyable...

I sat down to watch the 2019 animated movie "The Queens Corgi" together with my 11 year old son. I hadn't even heard about this animated movie from writers Rob Sprackling and Johnny Smith prior to sitting down to watch it. But I have to admit that the movie's cover was actually interesting enough, and the movie's synopsis sounded adequately interesting.

While "The Queens Corgi" certainly was watchable, it just wasn't an outstanding or particularly memorable animated movie in comparison to many other animated movies. However, should you have the opportunity to watch it, and if you enjoy animated movies, by all means do so.

The animation and art style in "The Queens Corgi" was certainly good, but it could only do so much, since the storyline itself was only so-so. It was fun, though, to see the former orange president show up in the story.

As for the characters in the movie, then the character gallery was adequate, and they had good enough voice actors and actresses to bring the characters to life on the screen. But as with the storyline itself, then the characters in "The Queens Corgi" just weren't overly memorable.

I found "The Queens Corgi" to be adequately entertaining, however I feel that there is not enough contents to the storyline to support more than a single viewing. And as the movie trotted on, it made for only mildly adequate entertainment for me, though my son found it more enjoyable than I did.

My rating of "The Queens Corgi" lands on a five out of ten stars.

Living in a bubble

I have to admit, I did not think a kids animated movie would have the audacity to go after certain themes. And Donald Trump may be the tamest of them all. Now of course if you live in a bubble (quite like the corgis in this movie) or want your kids to grow up in one, without discussing certain things head on, you will have issues with many themes the movie discusses or references.

So this does not only have kids jokes in them, but if you are even offended by the "footsie" reference close to the start of the movie, it means your values and your perspective may need rearranging. Overall predictable but more than fun story, with really fun dialog and a lot of visual gags. Yes this has some things that can be considered offensive - just be aware of that! I watched it with my nephew and he loved it
