Interesting and thrilling

This is a rather interesting movie, and it deals with a phenomena that we all are more or less familiar with - alien abductions. Now whether or not you believe in this is entirely up to you, but give this movie a chance, if nothing else then for its entertainment value.

"The Fouth Kind" is a unique mix of documentary and ordinary movie, and it worked out well, though sometimes it was a bit too much with the actual footage, it was disruptive in some odd way.

The story is quite interesting and compelling, and it grabs a hold of you and keeps you nailed down till the very end of the movie. The characters were believable and well portrayed.

There were some pretty nice effects in the movie as well.

Now, the thing about the movie is whether this is real or just a hoax. And even if it just is a hoax, the movie leaves you with unanswered questions and a sense of brooding mysticism.

I found the movie to be thoroughly entertainment and good for some discussion afterwards. So despite of your approach whether aliens and alien abductions are real or not, sit down and watch this movie. It is good.

ABDUCTION PLUS CHARIOTS OF THE GODS

In remote Nome Alaska, a psychologist has discovered her patients may be part of a mass alien abduction. She later realizes that she is also a victim of the same. In order to make the movie seem realistic they juxtaposition "actual tapes" into the movie. The acting is good and the movie seems very realistic. Now for the bogus points(possible plot spoilers): The aliens spoke Sumerian. No one on earth knows what the dead language sounded like. Plus the language had so many variations and dialects ... That whole translation stuff was bogus. 2) The tapes? Let's see, abduction, murder, suicide, missing people...I think those tapes would be locked away in an evidence vault as well as using actual tapes would violate all patient-doctor ethical standards. Third, there are no aliens visiting earth. Fourth, we all know aliens abduct people in Mississippi, not Alaska. If you are interested in the astral-religion of Sumeria and of the Bible, may I suggest "On Earth as it is in Heaven, The Cosmic Roots of the Bible" by Michael Ledo.

Dilmun was actually more advanced than Sumeria and the Akkadians were the real brains behind Sumeria. Most people don't realize those facts, all they know is Sumeria from the 12th Planet nonsense. Apparently they didn't consult a real expert in Sumerian before they made the movie.

If you like reality type movies such as that dog, "Paranormal Activities," this movie may be for you.

Fake, Unconvincing and Boring "Footages"

After the mysterious death of her beloved husband in Nome, Alaska, the psychologist Abigail Emily Tyler (Milla Jovovich) decides to proceed his research with clients that have insomnia and amnesia after seeing a white owl. When she uses hypnosis with two clients, they have nervous breakdown and violent attitudes with their discoveries, but they do not disclose what they have recalled. When Abbey finds that she had also seen the owl, she pushes herself to the edge with tragic consequences.

"The Fourth Kind" is a sci-fi thriller with a reasonable unoriginal story that entwines fake, unconvincing and boring "footages" à la "Blair Witch Project" and "Paranormal Activity" in a silly screenplay. I am a fan of the gorgeous Milla Jovovich, but the intention of this plot and the use of pretense footages are ridiculous. Will Patton performs an abusive sheriff and his accusations to Abbey are so stupid that irritates: Scott's wife, Awolowa Odusami and Abel Campos have witnessed what had happened to Scott; and his deputy had seen the flying saucer over Abbey's house. The writer alleged that this story is based on a true event; I believe that Ronnie Tyler is actually Fox William Mulder that years later became an FBI Special Agent. My vote is five.
