Sharon Wilharm is the scribe and director of "Summer of '67," an American tale rooted in the social upheaval of the 1960's.
Milly and Kate are sisters forever affected by the witnessing of their mother's own suicide. As we live through their maturation, we soon find them romantically involved with men who will soon become soldiers serving in the Vietnam War. Verily, both women must live their lives with the constant fear that their young loves may never return home, and their behaviors and actions arising from those fears are the primary drivers of the film.
"Summer of '67" seems positioned as a Christian film, yet we don't feel shouted at from the pulpit. Instead, the film relays an earnest story about living Real Life in one of America's most profound and unique periods. The acting is sound, and establishes the sincerity of these characters. And the look and feel of the film are on-point - the wardrobe, the period vehicles, and the music selection are all major contributors in establishing "Summer of '67" as a film that visually and emotionally reflects a critical and transformative period in our history and character.

Vietnam At Home
based on a true story.
This is quite an emotional film and the women carry it well. Basedon an actual incident which happened whilst troops were invovled in vietnam. worth a watch.
A history time piece that's a must see
There's several reason I gave this movie a 5 star. It's history that was written so well and played out by some very good actors. The cinematography was amazing and to do a time piece with an indie budget and have it turn out the way it did blew my mind. This is a must see.
