Right, well as I stumbled upon the 2020 comedy horror titled "Scary Bride", I must admit that I was initially interested because of the movie's cover. Yeah, I did find the cover to promise something that could potentially be a fun watch.
Indeed, I hadn't even heard about the movie prior to sitting down to watch it. But the movie's cover and the fact that is a horror comedy was sufficient to win me over and sit down to watch it.
I didn't even make it halfway through before I gave up on this movie from writer Anatol Ardin and director Dan Grin. Indeed. Pretty early on it became clear that this was a bad movie. And not one of those bad movies that are so bad that they become fun and enjoyable to watch. No, "Scary Bride" was just painfully bad to sit through.
The dialogue in the movie was just horrible. It felt like writer Anatol Ardin had given a pre-schooler artistic freedom to write the dialogue to the storyline. And the fact that the characters were every bit as painful to watch didn't help much either.
Sure, the concept idea behind the script for "Scary Bride" was something that certainly had some interesting aspects to it. But it was just so poorly constructed and executed that it felt like a bad episode of an ultra low budget TV show gone horribly awry.
I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress in "Scary Bride", and that is usually something I enjoy in a movie. But given the fact that the dialogue was just so God awful bad and the characters were bland and laughable, then the actors and actresses that partook in the movie just never had a running chance.
Visually then at least the special effects department were trying. But don't expect to be blown away by a grand spectacle of make-up and special effects here.
I have zero interest in returning to watch the rest of the movie, because the storyline and characters fell completely short of providing me with any level of entertainment.
My rating of the 2020 horror comedy "Scary Bride" lands on a one out of ten stars. Sadly enough, then the movie's cover was actually the best part about this ordeal.
Plot summary
A young American clerk Anthony, who was recently divorced, led a lonely lifestyle. His old friend Matt did not answer calls for several days and it looked like he left somewhere without warning any of his friends. One day, sounds were heard from Matt's apartment and Anthony went to check what happened there. Suddenly, he stumbled upon an unfamiliar, beautiful girl and fell in surprise and hit his head. As it turned out, the girl was Natasha, Matt's girlfriend. Matt heard the sound and rushed in. He and Natasha carried Anthony to his apartment. The next day, Matt and Natasha told Anthony they had just returned from Russia and advised him to go there where he could find a beautiful bride. Natasha assured Anthony that Russia is a very safe place and lots of fun things going on. After some hesitation, Anthony went to Russia. Having settled into the hotel, and rested, in the evening he went to the bar, where he met a lonely, dancing, beautiful blonde named Nina. One of the bar visitors warns Anthony that Nina was a witch and could not be kissed. Anthony didn't take it seriously. The couple had fun at the restaurant and Nina invited Anthony to her home. Well drunk, Anthony agreed.

Wow! Just wow...
It's a B-Movie
So, if you're a fan of "le genre sexploitation" - this is for you. It's a proper old trashy B-movie with terrible acting and scenario. Although, the daft lines from the taxi driver made me chuckle (he earned 3 points from me for this crap).
Sucks movie
It's the worst movie I've ever seen, looks so lame and too way far to be professional, not scary not even funny! Just a stupid and disgusting movie.
