Sandy Wrexler is another one of Adam Sandler Netflix film's, and out of his three Netflix film (The Ridiculous Six, and The Do-Over being the others),this is most definitely the best one. Sandler is seeing himself as a talent manager and his attire and mannerisms of his portrayal of this character is what works in this film. At first his blatant speech impediment may be slightly distracting but it becomes more natural as the film progresses.

The comedy in this film is quite funny at times, with typical occasional Sandler film. Also with many of them coming from Sandler's chemistry with his supporting cast, as well as his blatant gimmicky personality. There isn't much silly gags and stale jokes which makes this film much better. At a running time of over two hours, it doesn't drag as much, which is quite interesting since the film is quite entertaining.

As with other Sandler films, there are much criticism which is odd since people (non critics) continue to complain about his films yet are always content and appear to be eager with watching his material as soon as they are released. Overall, Sandy Wexler is a surprising watch, an improvement from his previous Netflix film, and most definitely a recommend. After a rewatch 08/25/18' Sandy Wexler is better on a second watch. There are more key elements having noticed this time around. Overall, the film is quite underrated and isn't nearly as bad as its current 5.1 IMDB rating is.

I'm a bit surprised this did not fare so well. It is right in Sandlers alley .. his schtick if you want to call it that. And I don't mean that in a bad way or condescending. It's what he is best known for - now is the story of this manager you've never heard of true? I have no idea and I don't care that much to really search for that (I did google a little bit and a manager with a similar name seems to exist, but I reckon most was made up).

The movie has a lot of celebrities in weird cameos praising or pulling Wexler down - depending on the situation and point in timeline we are in. The comedy sort of works if you are an Adam Sandler fan - a die hard fan that is. Running time is a bit long and the movie is overall quite predictable ... well which Sandler movie isn't? From his comedies that is ... seen worse with him in it, seen better ... a decent effort I'd say, especially because it doesn't take itself too seriously and is consistent tone wise almost all the way through.

"Sandy Wexler" is a made for Netflix mockumentary starring Adam Sandler and LOTS of his friends. In fact, the number of cameos by Hollywood A and B listers is the best thing about the film. The story itself, however, never really clicks and it seems to go on and on and on...

The story is about a terrible Hollywood agent...one who lies compulsively and is a complete and total nerd (Adam Sandler). He talks with a severely nasal voice and seems completely out of his element in Hollywood...especially since no one seemed to like him or want him around or respected him. Inexplicably, he actually gets a talented client (Jennifer Hudson) and much of the story is about her rise to stardom.

The bottom line is that THE point of all this is watching Adam Sandler playing Sandy Wexler...that is THE joke. If this went on for a half hour or so, it would be mildly amusing. Going on for a bit over two hours...it's an endurance competition that the viewer is going to lose.
