In the University of Ithaca, while showing the campus to the new students and their relatives, the veteran tour guide Barry Manilow (Tom Green) tells the love story of his friend Josh Parker (Breckin Meyer). Josh has a girlfriend, Tiffany Henderson (Rachel Blanchard),who went to the University of Austin, and they promised to be faithful to each other. However, Josh has an affair with his sexy friend Beth Wagner (Amy Smart),and they accidentally videotape it. One of his friends sends the videotape to Tiffany by mistake, and Josh decides to travel to Austin with his friends E.L. (Seann William Scott),Rubin Carver (Paulo Costanzo) and Kyle Edwards (DJ Qualls) to retrieve the videotape before Tiffany sees it. Will he succeed?
"Road Trip" is a very funny comedy even when the viewer sees more than one time. Using the same storyline of "Overnight Delivery (1998)", with Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon, in the style of "Animal House" and "American Pie", "Road Trip" is so hilarious that makes laughing almost uninterruptedly with the humorous situations created by Barry Manilow, Josh, E.L., Rubin Carver and Kyle Edwards. Amy Smart is very sexy and DJ Qualls is the funniest character. My vote is seven.

Hilarious Road Movie
Obvious but okay
Very much an obvious and noticeable rip-off of the AMERICAN PIE formula, but still, I didn't mind it too much. Plenty of sex and gross-out jokes, take it or leave it, but somehow I always warm to Seann William Scott and the sheer outrageousness of his characters.
Everybody is a Stifler in this one
Josh Parker (Breckin Meyer) and Tiffany Henderson (Rachel Blanchard) have been sweethearts since they were kids. They go to different colleges, but she keeps blowing him off. He's frustrated and sleeps with Beth (Amy Smart). They make a sex tape that his roommate accidentally sends to Tiffany. Josh and his friends (Seann William Scott, Paulo Costanzo) rope Kyle (DJ Qualls) into going on a road trip to see Tiffany and get back the tape.
Director Todd Phillips is putting in a lot of crazy stuff in this. The only thing missing is a truly great friend for Josh. The road guys can be idiots, selfish, cruel, and rude. But Josh really needs one true friend. Then there is the wacky Tom Green. I'm willing to accept his outlandish hijinx, but it would be better if he isn't alone for so much of the movie. This is inevitably compared to 'American Pie'. They both have the gross out humor, the sex subject, and craziness. What 'American Pie' has that this movie doesn't is true gang of friends. In this one, everybody is a Stifler. And there's no iconic phrase in this one.
