The action is really nice, even if it might start off on the wrong foot (or at least it feels like it does). There's conspiracy, there is fighting, there is shooting and there is chasing. What else would someone need? A more decent plot would be a helpful suggestion, but since there is none to be found here, let's roll with what we have and have a good time with it.
Olga is pretty fit (if you'll excuse the pun) and is able to pull off and make it look believable, what her character is going through in this movie. Sometimes it seems she is portrayed a bit weaker than she actually is, but that does not bother the flow of the movie too much. Light and fun entertainment, nothing more and nothing less

A Thriller Full of Action and Secrets
Four fully equipped robbers heist diamonds from the safety deposit box of a bank in Cape Town, South Africa. Two of them have a disagreement and the mask of one woman, Alexis Faraday (Olga Kurylenko),is withdrawn and she kills the other thief. The three thieves flee in a van, and Alexis and her partner Kevin Fuller (Colin Moss) go to a hotel while Doug MacArthur (Karl Thaning) goes home. But soon, Kevin is brutally murdered by a crew of criminals led by the Mr. Washington (James Purefoy) and Alexix, who is a former CIA agent, learns that they have been hired by an American Senator (Morgan Freeman) to retrieve a flash drive that was hidden with the diamonds.
"Momentum" is an underrated action-thriller that works perfectly on DVD. The beginning is too abrupt and the viewer does not have any of the time where the heist takes place, since the criminals are wearing high-tech clothing and equipment. There is also a lack of character development in the beginning and shooting and noise in the hotel with no complaint from the guests. But when the viewer understands what is happening, the plot turns into an entertainment and worthwhile watching film. My vote is six.
Title (Brazil): "Momentum"
No classic, but it does the job
MOMENTUM is a modern-day action thriller with a female lead and plenty of action to see it through. It was shot in a nice-looking South Africa by a first-time director and it did very badly on release at the box office, although I'm not too sure why. I suspect that the appetite for straight action movies has disappeared these days as people turn to superhero flicks and other outlandish variants for their thrills. Me, I prefer a good BOURNE-style thriller any day of the week and MOMENTUM did the trick for me. It's obviously been made on a limited budget so it's a surprise that the explosive action really hits home and provides all the necessary excitement. With this and THE NOVEMBER MAN Olga Kurylenko proves that she's got what it takes to lead a thriller, although the real stand-out here is James Purefoy's urbane villain who seems to be modelled on his role in THE FOLLOWING. Purefoy is a delight and adds plenty of wry humour to his part. Morgan Freeman is wasted and some of the plotting is a little routine, but otherwise this is a cat-and-mouse thriller that delivers the goods.
