Well, I enjoyed the 2013 first movie "Make Me Shudder", but wasn't particularly fan of the 2014 sequel "Make Me Shudder 2", so it was with somewhat mixed feelings that I sat down to watch this 2015 "Make Me Shudder 3".
But still, I hadn't seen the movie, and it being a Thai movie, so of course I would find myself sitting down to watch it. Especially since I had the movie at hand, so it would be a shame not to. I might be missing out on a grand moment in Thai horror comedy.
Alas, I wasn't missing out on much. Sure, this 2015 movie was slightly better than the 2nd movie, but still not as good as the 1st movie in the franchise. So, yeah, the movie was watchable, but it wasn't an outstanding or memorable movie experience.
It was good to have most of the cast return to reprise their roles from the previous movies, as it definitely added a sense of familiarity and continuity to the movie.
A shame, however, that the storyline was rather mundane, and bordering on being a bit too out there to be enjoyable. I mean, there is only so much of late teen boys screaming in fear every two minutes that you can bear before it becomes annoying.
I managed to sit through the entire movie, but I found myself only mildly entertained actually. The whole movie just felt too mediocre, in lack of better terms. Which also reflects in the five out of ten star rating that I am giving "Make Me Shudder 3".
