Just finish this evening and I think this movie is quite interesting .They should continue to make another part so the story might be more clear.And the male lead and actresses are also cute xD I like how they add CGI effect on clothes. well, Chinese movies CGI are can't compare to western. I think it not so bad for a Chinese movie.

What I liked about the " Jade Dynasty " (first movie hopefully),was the first part of the movie. It was somehow the background of the main character and how he became his final self in the ending. However, the second part of the movie was rushed, almost confusing, and it had an open ending (that is a bad thing if they don't have a second movie coming up...).

That said, the performances were good and the costumes were nice. They did a good job with the atmosphere of the story, as it looked epic and fairy tale like. However, the CGIs were not good and kind of ruined the action scenes.

So, overall, six out of ten.

I only wanted to see this film because of Xiao Zhan, and I wasn't disappointed! For a relative newbie to the acting realm he soared above most with twice his experience! I hope that he gets noticed by international films because this young man is a star! Great film and beautifully done CGI.
