DRAGON KINGDOM is another one of those amateur-hour productions hoping to cash in on the success of GAME OF THRONES. It was shot out in the countryside for the most part, with early scenes seemingly set at a reconstruction of an Anglo-Saxon era village. Randomly, later indoor scenes feature modern-day library and decor, so what period this is supposed to be set in is anybody's guess. The plot follows the usual action-adventure template with a bunch of Dungeons & Dragons-style heroes battling orcs, monsters and a terrible CGI dragon. If you want to see some bad acting, just wait until Jon-Paul Gates shows up - and what's going on with his brillo pad hair? There's bad and then there's completely terrible, and DRAGON KINGDOM is the latter kind of film. Good for a laugh, maybe, but that's about it.

The only people that can stop him and inform the King of Favian's insidious plan are the Princess and her two Knights forming an unlikely alliance with two Katori Warrior Women. Their quest will not be easy as their path is blocked by the fury bloods leaving them no choice but to traverse The Dark Kingdom, a land that swallows all who enter.

Good for a laugh
The Dark Kingdom is an Evil Place
This is the second installment of the Simon Wells trilogy(?). There is a very brief introduction or recap of the first feature at the beginning. The kingdom is split with brother prince fighting against sister princess and the king is unaware. The evil prince has created a zombie army called "Fury". In order to escape the Fury our small group of good guys must enter the "Dark Kingdom." There are also a bunch of Amazon-like women who look like they used to be XFL cheerleaders.
This film was an improvement over the first one. The "bar" was more correctly called an "inn." All the Fury ran. It wasn't a combination of foot draggers and runners. The dialogue wasn't unintentionally funny as the first feature, but it wasn't great either. The costumes left a lot to be desired, especially the dyed long Johns, and I think they would have been better off with CG as the dragon wasn't too bad.
Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity. It does have a hot Asian chick from?
Put a (dragon) pin in it
Or is it an undead pin? I really am not quite sure what to call it. But since nothing has followed, let's hope it remains that way. Now I am cutting the movie some slack to say the least. I do know this is a low budget movie and it still maintains or rather can conjur up some charme.
I probably would have gone at least a 5 for costumes and all that (acting is not its strong suit, but this does not rely on that or rather has the emphasis on the fantastical and the action and make up department) ... but that weird ending really leaves one completely dissatissfied ... not sure what the thinking was behind that ... shame then - maybe the money ran out or maybe they were thinking they could have another run (sequel)? Whatever the case, most likely this will not be many peoples cup of tea
