I HAVE REVIEWED OVER 400 ( C H R I S T M A S ) MOVIES AND SPECIALS.
PLEASE BEWARE OF SOME REVIEWERS THAT ONLY HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW. WHEN ITS A POSITIVE THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE PRODUCTION. NOW I HAVE NO AGENDA! I REVIEW MOVIES & SPECIALS AS A WAY TO KEEP TRACK OF WHAT I HAVE SEEN! I HAVE DISCOVERED MANY GEMS IN MY QUEST TO SEE AS MANY " C H R I S T M A S " MOVIES AS I CAN.
Someone keeps reporting my reviews. I guess they are jealous because I do tell the truth. I want to point out that I never make snide remarks about actors weight or real life sexual orientation. If there acting is terrible or limited "I talk about that". However it puzzles me that this is the 3rd time I am posting this review. So why am I being "picked on". IMDB will not even tell me what someone found offensive. Well on to the review
When a veterinarian sets out to have the perfect Christmas, she assumes it's going to be with her longtime boyfriend. But when a storm shuts down the airport, she crosses path with a doctor and his daughter. What transpires will give them all a Christmas more magical than they could've imagined.
The plot is nothing knew in fact it has been done many times before and much better but none of those films had Ashley Williams.
Ashley has a winning smile. She makes her part look easy and she carries the film. She is her charming self and that is what makes this film very enjoyable!
I hope this review stays up?
Christmas in Evergreen
2017
Action / Family / Fantasy / Romance
Plot summary
In the week before Christmas, veterinarian Allie Shaw, who has lived her entire life in the Northern Vermont Christmas tourist town of Evergreen, is moving to Washington DC to be with Spencer, her boyfriend of two years, to see if the long distance is the issue in the stagnation of their relationship as they suspect. Physician Ryan Bellamy and his adolescent daughter Zoe Bellamy are heading to Florida to board a cruise for the holidays, Ryan having made this choice to get away from the memory of his wife who died just over a year ago and who was the one who did the traditional Christmas in their family. Allie and the Bellamys meet when Ryan and Zoe stop off in Evergreen, where they had never been, en route to the airport. While someone within this collective secretly wants to spend Christmas in Evergreen, the others seem determined to make their way to their stated destination. However, one thing or another seems to conspire to prevent them from making it to either Washington or Florida. But the stated plans may still come to pass, that is unless the legend of a wish of the heart made on the Christmas snow globe that is displayed in Allie's parents' diner is stronger in showing those the collective that perhaps they were meant to spend Christmas in Evergreen together, the wish arguably manifested by the kindly old man hired to play Santa at Evergreen's annual Christmas Festival.

Ashley Williams Makes This Worth Watching
Needs Some Depth
I had high hopes for this movie, but a lack of plot, one dimensional characters, and a forced romance were what was delivered. Actually, the Zoe girl was the most realistic person in the whole movie. Ryan was pretty wooden the entire time while Allie seemed like she was plucked from a real world TV newscaster, TV weather lady, or infomercial career. Poor Spencer got the short end of the stick without deserving it. This gets a C- when compared to other cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies.
Very enjoyable Christmas movie...
As I sat down in 2021 to watch the 2017 Christmas movie titled "Christmas in Evergreen" I must admit that I wasn't harboring much of any expectations to it. Why? Well, the movie's cover/poster sort of had that archetypical Christmas cheesy feel to it. So I figured I would be in for one of those run-of-the-mill Christmas romance movies that come a dime a dozen each year. But still, I opted to sit down and watch what writer Rick Garman and director Alex Zamm had to offer.
And as it turned out, then "Christmas in Evergreen" was actually a rather wholesome and entertaining Christmas movie. Sure, it had that sappy romantic element to it, but it wasn't really the main focal point of the movie. So I will say that "Christmas in Evergreen" had something for just about everyone in the audience. I, personally, was genuinely entertained by the story told here.
They had managed to put together a good ensemble of actors and actresses for the movie, with the lead roles belonging to Ashley Williams and Teddy Sears. I will say that the lead performers carried the movie quite well and they were rather nicely cast for the movie. "Christmas in Evergreen" also has the likes of Holly Robinson Peete and Barbara Niven on the cast list.
If you enjoy Christmas movies, then "Christmas in Evergreen" is certainly an enjoyable movie, and it definitely surprised me. So this is a Christmas movie that I can warmly recommend.
My rating of "Christmas in Evergreen" lands on a seven out of ten stars.
