No one bothers to ask Zoe!

First, the correct title: Zoe and the 'Guy' Who Fell to Earth since the movie does not involve an astronaut!

Two major flaws. First, the parents treat Zoe as if she was a child rather than a 19yo adult woman. Second, no one, neither the father nor the Jacques ever asks Zoe if she will trade the cure of her deadly cancer for life on another planet. Will Zoe's cancer return if she refuses to leave with Jacques? Would Jacques take Zoe by force i.e. As a slave, if she refuses? Her dad asks Jacques 'what if Zoe refuses' to which Jacques says nothing, leaving open the 'force' option. What romance? Zoe announces her love for Jacques whereas Jacques makes zero confession of love for Zoe.

Even worse, Jacques says Zoe will be a Queen who's job it is to re-populate his planet. So essentially Zoe will be a breeder! On taht far away planet will Zoe be solely with Jacques or hundreds of Jacques? Once cured and realizing Jacques's mission to find a breeder Queen and also realizing Jacques has not confessed any real love for her Zoe had every reason to refuse to leave her friends and family.

Script should have had Jacques fall head over heels with Zoe and then give Zoe the offer/choice before he cures her and/or the cure would be permanent only if she leaves Earth. Also, a word or two to Zoe convincing her she will live a wonderful life on his planet.

Painfully painful

Corny, sugary, cloying minor film with nothing interesting going on.

May be it is a metaphor for something. May be it has a deeper meaning.

But, for me it was boring, slow and the ending was pretty obvious.

It is good for insomnia, though.

Don't bother with this one

Ridiculous plot line and excruciatingly slow pace. After encountering an astronaut (following his crash landing) Zoe and her father don't bother to take him to the hospital rather just take him home like a stray puppy. Eventually his story comes out that he's not human at all rather from another planet. Our astronaut ops to cure Chloe from her leukemia with the condition that she returned home with him. She agrees and eventually disappear into the sky.
