Giraffe movie

I like how it base on first giraffe in Paris France and show a slave boy try to keep his promise and how that the end everyone full thier promises and the bad guy is eat a by a polar bear and even zararfa never saw African and the boy again they both end up happy with other and thier memories. It is cool even with the sad part so that why I give it a 7.

Simple story, loving adventure

In spite of some reality displacement, this is a good and tender movie, with some interesting points, worth watching especially if you have small kids. Good and fluid drawing, sweet characters, not a masterpiece but good.

so cute!

This is such a cute story! And a very different story from the usual animated fare.

It is based on a real life giraffe who was given as a gift by a pasha from Egypt to the King of France. This movie spins a fantastical tale around those events, giving it a flavor of both real life and folktales. The movie gently brushes on dark topics like slavery, death, captivity, etc. But it proceeds with the structure of a folktale that requires some suspension of disbelief. And doesn't feel overly sanitized either.

The animation is quite good for a studio that's not to big. I don't believe I've heard of them or watched anything else by them. But this is highly recommended to lovers of animation. It IS a kids movie, but it doesn't repel adults away with nonsense.
