This was the first wrestling PPV (or PLE to use WWE jargon!) I had attended since the UK-exclusive WWF/E Rebellion back in 2000 in Sheffield. A large gap, but a worthwhile one, because Cardiff's CLASH AT THE CASTLE definitely delivered the goods. It was a great show from start to finish, totally in spite of an end result most British fans probably found rather disappointing for obvious reasons. That's how good this was.
Matches of the night were definitely Sheamus/Gunther, Rollins/Riddle & Edge & Rey Mysterio vs. The Judgment Day (which featured a nicely executed shocker of a surprise, unless you read spoilers online first!)
Not to mention an INCREDIBLY exciting main event for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship between British-born Drew McIntyre & long-long-long-reigning champion, the ever-divisive Roman Reigns.
Here's hoping WWE return to these shores once more for an event of this kind of magnitude, and that next time it won't take them another two decades or so to do so!
Definitely one of the most enjoyable WWE events in recent memory, and probably one of the best ever in terms of start to finish enjoyability with very little not to like (including no pointless 'filler' matches negatively affecting the general pace of the proceedings),except maybe for Tyson Fury's questionable singing!!
Wrestling fans owe it to themselves to catch this event, I know I'll be picking up my copy on Blu-ray to complement SummerSlam '92, the only other WWE UK stadium show in history.
10/10, being there live was electric! The set looked great as well, with a giant LED castle suspended above the ring - and the entranceway was VERY reminiscent of events like Royal Rumble 2000 & Survivor Series 2002 at Madison Square Garden which I thought was pretty cool...
The 'worst' match was probably Liv/Baszler and even that was perfectly decent.
Two thumbs way up for Clash at the Castle!

Clash at the Castle
They built up a lot of excitement around this premium live event and for the most part it seemed to be a quality show.
It started off strong with a decent women's tag, but one that ran for far too long.
Gunther and Sheamus had a great match that, while not nearly as good as Walter/Dragunov, had a similar tone to it.
The show seemed to drag at times, but the main event was well done. I thought they should have pulled the trigger and had McIntyre win though. We knew Solo Sikoa would one day unite with The Bloodline, but doing it immediately really cuts him off at the knees. He deserved at least a chance to be a solo star, no pun intended.
