why oh why?

amazingly i actually sat through the entire movie praying that it would get better. i then spent a day wondering if i had dreamt that a movie could be so bad and unfortunately i wasn't dreaming.

to start off with there is the acting it was like the director just fell asleep and forgot to direct it was incredibly bad. then there are the special effects which honestly look like they were done before computers were invented.

then the story which could have been pretty good was let down due the fact that the plot was lost in the first few minutes.

i recommend staying as faraway form this movie as is humanly possible.

Words can hardly describe the horror that is "Transmorphers"...

Of course with the anticipated success of "Transformers" back in 2007, The Asylum had to sink their claws in and come up with their own poor man's version - as they do with so many other movies. "Transmorphers" wasn't the first of such 'mockbuster' movie to see the light of day from The Asylum, nor was it the last.

The story here is that mankind found life on another planet 20 million light years away from Earth - sure - and sent a message of peace. Five years later we received their reply, and Earth was devastated and put into ruin, leaving mankind to live pitiful existences fearing the invading machines. It is up to a small group of soldiers to save mankind and save Earth.

Right, just about every Sci-Fi cliché stuffed into one bad take here.

This movie was just fundamentally bad on so many levels. First of all, the CGI effects were horrible, and I swore that my eyes were bleeding a couple of times throughout the ordeal that was "Transmorphers". The robots looked like something from a bad 1990's PC game. It was so fake and awkward to look at. And to top it off, this movie is making heavy use of flashing lights constantly, so if you have epilepsy then this movie should be avoided. Well, that is not actually the only reason for avoiding this movie.

Moving on; secondly, the acting in the movie was just laughable. The people in the movie had everything working against them. The script was poorly constructed, the dialogue was wooden and embarrassing, and of course standing face to face with horrible CGI effects doesn't really help an actors motivation, I guess.

Once the movie ends, if you manage to suffer through this painful experience, you are left with a very hollow sensation that you just wasted about an hour and a half on utter and complete rubbish.

Every once in a while The Asylum manages to put something out there that is watchable and enjoyable, but "Transmorphers" is definitely not one such occurrence.

Take heed and notice the low score on IMDb, let it be a guiding light and lead you away from this movie. If you hold your limited time in life precious, stay well clear of "Transmorphers".

Shamefully bad

TRANSMORPHERS is a shamefully bad knock-off movie made by The Asylum to cash in on the Hollywood blockbuster TRANSFORMERS. It exists solely to be put on video shelves where it can fool viewers into purchasing it by mistake, expecting the Michael Bay movie. This film was made for a pittance and features a handful of actors sharing dialogue in the gloom in front of a green screen. The whole thing looks cheap and nasty and is coloured a navy blue. Occasionally there's a bit of bad CGI in the form of a rampaging giant robot. There are no actors of note here and no discernable talent either; just mindlessness.
