We have no more beds

MAY CONTAIN PLOT SPOILERS A viral epidemic hits Spokane. Anne Heche plays a CDC doctor doing an investigation when she gets a tip it is caused by a chemical E901 being placed in jet fuel. The excitement nearly rages as corporations and government want secrets kept.

It is great that we are drawing attention to how we are killing ourselves and the planet with chemicals. I am not sure how a virus is a chemical and survives in burnt jet fuel. They were detecting a metal signature in patients, which could not be caused by a virus which can not manufacture metals. If the problem is metal toxins, then there is no vaccine for it, you must chelate. I know that much and I am not a doctor, but I used to play one as a child. They were using level A protective clothing to visit infected patients-good. But when they doffed the suits, they were not decontaminated first and they did so in a common area where unprotected people go and then left the suits just lie around. Can we get script writers smarter than a fifth grader? Guide: No swearing, sex, nudity, or common sense.

not really exciting

Okay movie about how chemtrails, the vapor trails left by planes, are spreading a deadly virus which makes almost everyone in Spokane sick. Anne Hesche plays a doctor who tries to sort out what is behind the disease and find out a way to stop it from killing everyone.

Yet another government is bad movie is an okay thriller. The cast is fine, but its not really given much to do beyond the cliché. Its best not to really think about much of what happens since it doesn't completely make sense. Things are not helped by the feeling that this wasn't really made with any sort of passion, and while its competent its never compelling. I'd wait for cable.

A less than mediocre disaster genre movie...

Sure, when I sat down to watch the 2008 movie "Toxic Skies", I must admit that my level of expectation wasn't exactly sky high. I mean, the movie's synopsis didn't really sell the movie all that well, and the movie's cast wasn't exactly something that had me thrilled either. But I hadn't seen the movie, much less heard about it, so of course I sat down to watch it now in 2020, as I had the chance to do so.

And I will say that "Toxic Skies" was not the worst of movies I have seen. However, it wasn't really an outstanding or particularly memorable movie experience either. The movie was watchable, and that was about it.

Story-wise then "Toxic Skies" felt a bit shallow and pointless at times, especially since writers Andrew C. Erin and Kyle Hart seemed to be stumbling about in the dark at times. The movie had its ups and downs, that was for sure, so there were moments of boredom in the movie as well.

As for special effects, well let's just say that you shouldn't expect to be blown away. However, it should be said though, that the movie wasn't really depending on having an overwhelming array of special effects to work its magic. The few effects that were there served their purpose, and that was it.

"Toxic Skies" does not bolster itself on having an overly impressive cast list. Anne Heche was the most prominent name in the movie, and even this wasn't her finest moment. Sure, she made it watchable, but she has much better movies to her name.

I suppose if you think "Outbreak" but without the interesting and intense storyline and impressive cast, then you have "Toxic Skies".

I was somewhat not properly entertained by what I witnessed on the screen as I sat through "Toxic Skies". And that results in a rating of four out of ten stars from me.
