I found the money and gave it to Father Daniel

Cristi (Vlad Ivanov) is a Romanian police officer working both sides of the law. On the Canary Islands, he learned a whistling language, something that criminals can use to communicate openly and loudly. Zsolt (Sabin Tambrea ) owns a mattress factory and is laundering money through the mattresses. The law has caught on but has nothing on him. Cristi helps them plant coke to arrest Zsolt, and then plans to get him out. Gilda (Catrinel Marlon) is tossed into the mix as eye candy.

The film is not very cohesive. The editing was not great. The idea to title different chapters by a person's name long after they have been introduced didn't make sense. I kept thinking I was flashing back when I wasn't.

Guide: sex and nudity (Catrinel Marlon)

Whistle while you ...

... rob? I know it's supposed to be work and I reckon both those work (no pun intended) ... An interesting movie to say the least and one that may not be as well known as it could be. Quite intriguing and really spun in a way that may confuse some viewers. Which is understandable overall. A crime movie with almost no crime commited ... well that's not true of course, but it's more talking about past crimes and crimes planned than actual crimes on screen. But when something happens, be prepared to get the full extend of that (violence or sex wise).

These spikes in certain things may alienate some viewers, but I think they are necessary and done in a way that is quite along the lines of the movie and its mood overall. If you have the patience (the pace is quite slow),you will see something you may like. Someone said Neo Noir here ... that person might be onto something there

Interesting

I love the aesthetics of this film, a movie highly influenced by SUBURRA, made by Stefano Sollima in 2015, where the topic - mafia - was also used and especially where the graphic lines were very close too. Look out for the both films endings. It needs to be watched several times, though, to be totally involved in this unusual and very surprising story.
