80 - 90 % of the film is filler. Celebrity talking heads talking about a time and about issues of which they have no clue. Most of them not even born when the events took place.
Repetitious, empty, annoying.

Plot summary
While the country was embroiled in a divisive election with racial tensions flaring, Civil Rights activist and trailblazing performer Harry Belafonte guest hosted The Tonight Show for one week in 1968. This documentary examines the importance of this lost broadcast history.

I am sorry, but I fail to see where and what is the difference, or what change (radically) between 1968 and TODAY; same problems, same reactions, same actions, little or no advance, personally I thing we are on down slope, a more divided society now that 50 years ago. Ideas and opinions are not protected by first amendment any more (primarily, in social media) and censorship, auto or imposed in most cases by so call undefined " community standards".
