The writer, deliberately or not, gives away the clue to who The Sociopath is 2 minutes into the movie with the line: "I say 'infiltrated' because I assume he appeared there in a deliberate effort to meet *me*". All predatory sociopaths assume by default that others crave their attention. The medical & mental health professions are comprised almost exclusively of these detestable creatures. The two lead characters here are intensely irritating, but overall, it's mostly redeemed by the excellent supporting cast/characters.

Plot summary
A comedy where our main character learns that imitation may not be the sincerest form of flattery when he is befriended by a younger neighbor on the town's newspaper staff. The Kid, who is married but childless, knows no one in town. The Narrator knows everyone in town. As times goes on, the Narrator begins to wonder about the Kid's Wife and what kind of woman could marry a guy like this. Perhaps she just might be the woman for him.

Clues
Quirky yet annoying
Not sure why I watched this but it was largely a waste with an inexperienced writer/director combo - never turns out well - and unknown actors though some sorta famous old actors pay minor roles --> Marilu Henner, Jessica Walter, and Gina Gershon helped keep my interest a bit. But this definitely centers on the odd, can't-shake-you relationship between Tony and Peter (names revealed late in film) and it's somewhat interesting for 1/2 hr then it gets old and you're like "when's this over?!"
One of the worst
I had more expectations for this movie. I tried to watch it. I could watch max 10 mis. Not funny at all. Such a bad scenario. Thomas Sadoski is a great actor but even his acting wasn't enough for me to rate more. I was gonna give "0" but ratings start from 1 in IMDB.
