It's 2019 I watched this movie and I thought it's new and guess Danny at least will nominate in Oscar because of this movie. His encounter for a stolen photo which is a memorable piece of his past, Danny Huston nailed it as an old man desired for finding the treasure of his. Cannot believe there's no any nomination and award.
Plot summary
The film centres on a random act of theft that has put Tom Hammond's life into a tailspin. Stolen from his bookshop is Tom's most treasured possession, a photograph of him with his son Luke...their last moment of shared happiness. THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH is set between London in 2003, and a dark night in 1988 when Pan Am 103 was blown out of the sky over Lockerbie.

Danny Huston not nominated in Oscar ? Why?
Research After Seeing
Danny Huston Directs and Stars as Tom Hammond a Book Store Owner in London whose favorite photograph is stolen along with his satchel of personal items. Tom is a somewhat bitter distant Man ever since his Son was on the Pan Am plane shot down over Lockerbie in 1988. An act of terrorism. The Film flashs back to Tom and his Son Luke as he becomes an adult and is engaged . Tom is terrorized by the memory of his Son as he had actually bought him the ticket and was waiting at Airport. Tom is very close to his neighbor a restaurant owner named Hannah and played by Sarita Choudhury who is really good actor. She is about the last person Tom has much of a connection with otherwise always withdrawn. Tom also stays in touch with Lukes Girlfriend BIRD who was also waiting for him before the tragedy, but initially only via Letters. This story is pretty sad but thanks to Mr Huston and crew I think is is very memorable. Nearly 15 years later Tom reconnects with the past and maybe finds some closure.
An Oscar to Danny Huston!!
Really, I mean. where is the Academy Awards Jury? why a movie like this one get no mention at all? Danny Huston is an awesome actor and he deserve to be recognized! I felt his sadness, I cried when he did, I could feel what he felt. Oscars should be ashamed for not even mention this fine actor. Danny, you are one of my favorites!
