What little there is in terms of plot here, ends in a most dissatisfying way. We never learn what happened or why, or even how it ended. Nothing makes sense. Apparently some creeps stalk a group of people and record them as they scare them over and over again. For a moment we re led to believe these might be supernatural beings, but it becomes pretty clear it i s just some sickos who are making a tape for fun. It ends with some stupid random scares and an open ending where the protagonists appear to be buried alive, but we never learn whether they were buried for real or if the creeps that were doing it to them in order to film them being terrified eventually let them go. Half the film seems to be just pointless filler as they visit various horror houses. All in all, it was tedious and utterly disappointing in the end. One of the greatest let-downs in found footage movies ever.

All rather pointless
THE HOUSES OF HALLOWEEN is another interminable and pointless indie addition to the horror genre. It charts the misadventures of a group of five friends who decide to go on a road trip to find the ultimate Halloween house but along the way find themselves menaced by unknown forces. It's the kind of film which is cheap, predictable, boring and unimaginative, saddled with annoying characters throughout. Need I go on?
CARVE ME
Five young adults with a camcorder search out the most extreme Halloween haunted house. They start off in Tyler, Texas and travel in a very nice RV drinking and getting happy along the way. They heard there was an ultimate haunt known as "Blue Skeleton" which changes its location every year. Their search takes them to New Orleans on Halloween as weird things happen to them.
Yes, this is another hand held camera film, one that is realistic enough, you might not want to watch it. I liked the various haunted houses and how the same characters kept showing up at different locations. The ending was a bit of a let down.
Guide: F-bomb. Stripper nudity.
