The House in Sure Won't.

If you're looking for a movie with preening, rampant, scenery-chewing narcissism, then this is the film for you. Neither of the lead characters are remotely likeable, and the movie cuts back and forth between them preening and mugging maniacally for the camera.

We have Angela, a psychic medium seeking to affirm herself on Facebook and YouTube, and we have Karen, who feels that Angela has ruined her life by giving her false psychic advice. Karen learns that Angela is going to spend a few days in a haunted flat in an attempt to verify any paranormal activity going on in the place, and she sets out to torment Angela, and expose her as a fraud on social media.

During Angela's investigation, Karen pranks her with phony phone calls and poison pen letters. She even breaks into the flat and stages false signs to activity to fool Angela. This works, but there is also actual activity going on that Angela manages to record and document. Angela actually ends up making verbal contact with the entity in the flat, and the entity shows her proof of Karen's attempts to prank her.

Karen stages another prank phone call to Angela, but this backfires on her, as Angela says that she knows that the caller is Karen, that she can prove it, and is going to the authorities to stop Karen from harassing her once and for all. That night, Karen steals into the flat again to remove any potential evidence that might implicate her, and establish her guilt. In the meantime, Angela has further communication with the entity, which presents itself as evil and demonic. Karen ends up locked in the cellar of the flat, and discovers that Angela isn't quite the fraud that Karen tried to expose her as. The entity possesses Karen in what may well be one of the worst performances of a possession that I have ever seen in any horror movie.

This is a sort of follow-up, or sequel to the movie, "Investigation in Sherwood", which depicts a private investigator who finds himself unexpectedly drawn into genuine paranormal activity in the same flat shown in this film.

Of the two movies, the first was by far the better.

Sloppy but neat film

Right away this film seems like one likely to antagonize some viewers, as it seems to be entirely in second person view, watching the two actors as they film themselves like a Periscope video, complete with random floating emojis and comments popping up from fake twitter accounts and the like.

Very little is explained as to what is happening and why, but thankfully it starts to get clearer as it goes along. Basically, Angela (the redhead) is an alleged psychic, and Karen (the non-redhead) feels she was screwed over by some bad financial advice given by Angela. Now she is cyberstalking Angela, who is filming herself in a haunted flat, and decides to take her revenge by sabotaging Angela, sending her threatening letters and phone calls, and trying to expose her as a fraud.

This is basically the entirety of the movie, with the two actors basically chomping scenery with all the obnoxious energy of exactly what they basically are; youtubers. Along the way, we see some rather unusual stuff that might suggest Karen is possibly butting in on something else entirely.

Overall this is definitely the type of film which if a friend told me they couldn't watch because it was too annoying, I would be like "okay" and accept that.

Investigate The Investigator!!!

Okay this was pretty bad. The material was bad. The acting was bad. Basically it's like a vlogger sabotaging a paranormal investigator and they both end up dead at the end from demon possession. Horribly lame. But I did make it to the end. 2/10
