The boat was actually a nice demon possessed boat. It took.the fisherman home but it wanted to show him it's playground first. And it made sure he stayed on the boat too (for his own safety) Then it took him home, safe and sound. It even returned his motorboat. Now would a evil demon possessed boat have done that? This movie was just plain weird.

AEOLUS (the name on the boat) Aeolus in the works of Homer (The Odyssey),was controller of the winds and ruler of the floating island of Aeolia. Aeolus was the son of Hippotes, son of Mimas, a son of Aeolus, son of Hellen. He was most frequently conflated with Aeolus, the son of the sea-god Poseidon.

Really enjoyed, my understanding is Aelous was the god of winds which resulted in sailors becoming lost. The story is simple, a fisherman while out on a small boat from Valletta, Malta, comes across a strange mist, in the mist is an abandoned boat, he ties his boat to it to explore but when he returns his boat is missing. My interpretation is the boat challenges the man, he survives the challenges and stops the boat from sinking and the boat returns him to shore. It is a one actor film and a bit slow but I found it gripping.

A man ends up on board a ship which seemingly has a mind of its own.

It's a tough one to review, because the film is nicely made, it's well acted, and atmospheric, it all boils down to whether or not you like the story.

There is a lot of promise, a lot of build up, but unfortunately it doesn't really deliver, the film's obvious limitations become apparent after about ten minutes, there are only so many times he could get stuck in the toilet, or hear noises, it needed an interaction from someone or something else.

That ship is interesting, but I'm reminded of an episode of Murder she wrote with a car, it's psycho ship.

It's a pity those dolphins couldn't have been sharks, they would have made it interesting.

Joe Azzopardi does a really fine job in the main role, I understand that it's jobs for the boys, but he does a fine job.
