This film is racist for a 2002 animated family movie. If you are looking for a wonderful nice family musical movie, go get Singin' in the rain it's so much better than tom thumb & Thumbelina but this one just ruined the older thumbelina and tom thumb which are the 2 classic ones. If they wouldn't have changed these stupid characters and put the great older drawn ones in this one, this film would be a classic too and this movie does not have enough music to make a musical movie. This movie was lame 'cause look at this

Script - was heartwarming and dramatic, but if i made the movie poorly like this, i would reject the movie and say sorry Grade: C Storyline - Not really what it's really about it's about a young sullen teenager and a boy is looking for some other little people in the village and they combine to marry each other but they get trapped underground where a mole wants to marry thumbelina so that short storyline seems like it's written by a dumb 5 year old Grade: d+ Music - My favorite song was welcome to my hole (something like that) but the other songs were cute expect one two cha cha cha which that was not so good Grade: -B Characters - Do i have to say this?? The characters were very poorly drawn they look like they've been sketched by a 6 yr old Is this unforgettable? Dude NO!! I've seen this last year so it's been awhile then months ago i think i done forgot the whole entire movie couldn't remember thumbelina being sullen or in the circus now i know Thumbelina has knee addiction problems because evry once in a while she puts her head on her knees looking like she's going to cry on them and towards the end she actually did and I was like "If you don't stop I'll get Amy Rose to fix your actions" But whatever... Don't watch this crap it's awful.

I've always loved this film ever since I was kid and I love watching it again and again. All the songs were fun and enjoyable and I loved all the characters from the bugs to the mole minions. The best of all was especially the romance between Tom and Thumbelina. They are so cute together and their personalities go really well too as they are somewhat opposite because of their different upbringings, but they bring out the best in each other. Another thing I love about this film is how it teaches a person to stand up for themselves and speak their mind. However, my only compliant is that I've often felt the ending was rather faced paced when Tom and Thumbelina find their real home and Thumbelina reunites with her long lost royal family. Aside from that, this is a great film with lots of adventure, comedy, music, friendship and romance that I'm sure anyone will enjoy. I know I do as I've always cherished this film and I still watch it to this day.

It's low budget animation (I heard for around one million total!) but it still is good to watch. Some great songs. Clever and funny. The Mole King steals the film. Liked the look too. Wasn't your ordinary plain looking backgrounds. Art Direction was nice too.
