To my opinion the balance between action and other scenes os way of, the action scenes are of the best you will ever see, the other scenes are terribly boring. When I fast forwarded to the action scenes I became to love this movie. My advise, watch it for the fantastic amazing action scenes.

Plot summary
A young girl, Babydoll, is locked away in a mental asylum by her abusive stepfather, where she will undergo a lobotomy in five days' time. Faced with unimaginable odds, she retreats to a fantastical world in her imagination where she and four other female asylum inmates plot to escape the facility. The line between reality and fantasy blurs as Babydoll and the others, plus a mysterious guide, fight to retrieve the five items that will let them break free from their captors in time.

Watch it twice for the heartbreak.
Really underrated movie. It's not just your typical stylized action flick, it's quite a heartbreaking story in its core.
On a rewatch of this movie I really started to understand what was REALLY going on here. Once you understand what's really going on in the movie it will break your heart.
Great action, great story line, characters you really feel for.
I think this movie is rated so low because the people drawn to it don't think past the surface.

Well, that can only mean fat tattooed SUV driving sisters have been busy on IMDB. This film is a 9 for its action, story, metaphor, sexxxy protagonist with a slim waist and sweet face and originality.
Deal with it.
