This TV-series pilot episode is a fairly funny diversion that follows up the story decently, though the transgressive characters and overall sweetness of the themes have been fairly watered down. And the addition of super annoying Hamsterviel and Reuben is...unfortunate.

Plot summary
All the characters of the warm and fluffy "Lilo and Stitch" are back! In "Stitch! - The Movie", Stitch, Jumba, and Peakley are all living with Lilo and Nani. But no one knows that Jumba had secretly deactivated all 625 of his other experiments and brought them with him. The ex-captain Gantu, hired by Jumba's former partner, Dr. Jacques Von Hamsterveil, goes to find them, and captures Jumba to interrogate him into telling where they are. Now, Lilo and Stitch have to save Stitch's ohana from being used for chaos. Two experiments are activated in this movie: Experiment 221, "Sparky", with the ability to cause big electric surges, and Experiment 625, who has all the abilities of Stitch, but is lazier. At least he makes good sandwiches!

These characters deserve better
Loved the first film, had mixed feelings on this one
The first "Lilo and Stitch" was a warm and entertaining animated feature, compensated fully by beautiful animation, a nice soundtrack and a superb script that was not only funny but taught morals without feeling slushy. "Stitch! The Movie" was merely okay, but it doesn't have the magic or the sense of fun the first film had. I will give some credit the voice work is very good, Daveigh Chase is very sweet as Lilo and David Ogden Stiers just as he did in the original was marvellous as Jumbaa. Hamsterviel is a good villain, sweet on the outside but quite dangerous really. I liked it that Gantu had more to do here, and there are some decent laughs mostly from Experiment 625. However, the film is too short, at merely an hour there isn't much character development consequently the characters and the relationships between them (Lilo and Stitch's especially) weren't as engaging or as poignant. In both this and the TV series Nani's personality seems somewhat distorted. Also the animation isn't as vibrant, colourful or as detailed as it was in the original, not helped by rushed editing, and the script felt rather shallow. By all means, this movie isn't bad, but it pales in comparison to the original. 5/10 for trying. Bethany Cox
Mournfully bad!
This movie was about the worst of the Disney sequels. I've come to expect the next to crayon-drawing graphics, the total absence of background scenery, the complete loss of depth to the characters and the inane story lines from Disney sequels, but this one wins the old "Fickle Finger of Fate" award from Rowan & Martin's "Laugh-In."
It was worse than all that. It was a major disappointment. It lost every inch of the charm the original had, and really was a monumental waste of my time and money in purchasing this lamoid piece of garbage.
Stitch was as badly drawn as anything on a 5 year old's mother's refrigerator; worse even, as were the other characters, scenery, architecture and backdrops in this "animation." (when they bothered to ADD backdrops)
This was such a disappointment, I was too mad at it to rate it until this late hour. (got it at 12:01 midnight last nite at WalMart)
This movie seriously hurt my feelings. I loved Lilo and Stitch. Just loved it. I was SO disappointed.
