The acting is so bad I only managed to watch it for 5 minutes! Not helped by the fact that I'm an Athiest too.

Rubbish
Well worth watching!!
Don't listen to the one other review. Acting is equivalent to any B movie.
I don't know about how I feel about the ending... Still not sure.. Watch it and tell me what you think
Unnatural acting marred this intriguing courtoom drama
An American TV film drama; Based on a true story about a man accused of murder when he tries to stop three men stealing copper from his business premises. Released as "Cry for Justice" in the UK, it has two main themes: the right to defend your home and business, and having faith in the truth. The acting is below par and many conversations in scenes away from the courtroom are stilted. Many other scenes were poorly edited, tumbling into each other without much care and attention for the narrative. Cameron Arnett as the lawyer gives a creditable performance, drawing in the audience to the case and he builds up the tension to an impressive courtroom climax but this gives way to some overdone emotion in the final scenes.
