Sometimes human want aberrant behavior that break the boring routine life. But the deviance human want are limited to small things as much it does not break the peace of one's daily life. The meaning of the movie's title, xylophone, is just that much deviant behavior. A sound enough to break the silence, but not enough to break the peace.

It could be an affair, it could be imagining an affair, more boldly, it could be stalking someone, or it could be being stalked by someone. The characters in the film accept it as a fresh variation of life, as long as the variation does not break their life. Of course, it didn't turn out to be the gentle breeze they wished for.

The acting of the female protagonist was also splendid, but the directing of the each scene was excellent both aesthetically and meaningfully. In particular, the last scene in which the female protagonist falls asleep after several yawns implicitly shows the theme of this movie.

Will you choose the pounding of catastrophe once again? Or will you cover a cozy blanket of boredom?

It was a delicate and wonderful film in that it touched the subtle impulses within the human psyche inside.

Being designed to be unbearable for boredom, often human destroy their peaceful lives by themselves. The sound made by humans who can't stand the silence is the xylophone sound, the title of the movie.

As the title suggests, each human lives with a different xylophone in his heart. The xylophone is the sound of a rough knock that breaks the silence. It's annoying, but it's not annoyingly loud either. It is the sound of a small crack that does not break the peace, disrupt only.

It could be an affair, it could be stalking, or it could be being stalked. What is clear is that a human who once suffered(enjoying at the same time) from the sound of a xylophone cannot tolerate it when silence is given again.

Especially in the last scene, the yawn that the protagonist shows continually was a really cool expression. Will you choose the pounding of catastrophe once again? Or will you cover a cozy blanket of boredom?

It was a good movie that shows the strange psychology of our human beings who want silence but at the same time cannot stand complete silence and have to listen to noise. (white noise or else).
