I still can't figure out what the hell was going on. It seemed that rosemary was a serial killer that manipulated some of the murders and others she did herself. By the end I didn't even care, mostly because the ending was the worst. Production values seemed pretty good for such a terrible film, like that ever matters in hollywood. Acting was pretty good, the story just was too random to make sense. It had potential I suppose, though cliched. It's like 3/4 of the way through they just gave up and couldn't figure out how to put the pieces together in a coherent sensiical way.
Plot summary
On the 30th death-iversary of cult director Norman Von Ness, his son, Peter, hosts a film festival at the site of his father's murderous last project, The Devil's Fire. Hot young filmmakers flock to the isolated campground retreat, thrilled to compete for top prize and eager to uncover the mystery of Von Ness' last film - and it's dead star, Carly Skye. When an actress, Kelly, gets injured on one of the sets, accusations fly between the female cast and their male director. Peter steps in to extinguish tensions, but as production resumes, something or.. someone is fanning the flames behind the scenes. When a filmmaker goes missing before the final screening, the boy's side grows suspicious of one of the actresses. Paranoia threatens madness as the campers struggle to discern fact from fiction. How far will they go to be survivors in their own horror movie?

simply awful
Waste of time
This movie has an interesting enough premise that has some potential. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Sleepaway Slashers falls apart quickly due to poor writing, bad acting, annoying characters, and a silly plot. I cannot think of a single performance of note or a character I was actually rooting for. There were a few moments of practical effects that were decent but they were brief and far between. By the end of this thing, you will wish you were on fire as well.
Another mess
Is it so hard to find attractive people for movies these days? I can see busted looking individuals in real life. Anyways, this was a drag. Thankfully the leading females were easy to look at, even if they couldn't act. It felt like I was watching a man vs woman film. I'm a guy and even I felt the sexism was a bit much. They call this a slasher, yet no one has been slashed yet and I'm an hour in. This is more like a bad sleepaway camp movie, except those were at least enjoyable.
