"Kim Powers, a great movie, none of it would matter without Sammy in my life." Sam Baum (Gad) is an up-incoming screen writer. His new movie is creating a ton of buzz and the huge movie star Kim Powers (Duff) wants to be in it. The big problem is that he only wants his girlfriend Sammy to be in it. When her ex-husband shows up and moves in with them their relationship becomes strained. Even though this is pretty much a fluff movie and extremely predictable it is still an enjoyable movie. Everyonce in a while it is good to just put in a movie that you don't need to think about and is not stressful at all to watch. This is a movie like that. Nothing original and acting is a little iffy but this is a movie that keeps you watching and entertained. There really isn't that much to say about this at all other then that. Not really anything deep or thought provoking but it is entertaining and that's what a movie is supposed to be. Overall, a decent one time watch. I give it a B.
Plot summary
If you mixed Ferris Bueller in a blender with Alvy Singer (Woody Allen in "Annie Hall") and Larry David, the result would be SAM BAUM (Josh Gad). He's a lovable, quirky, neurotic NY native, living in LA with his beautiful girlfriend, Sammy (Kristen Ruhlin). A girl he knows how lucky he is to have in his life, since she was previously married to John: a, tall, fit, gorgeous, extremely successful Harvard med school graduate, who she's remained cordial with. Before Sammy, Sam hasn't had much success, romantically. He's an emerging filmmaker with one feature film under his belt that nobody's heard of. And she's an aspiring actress, aching for her big break, which may never come, unless Sam offers her the female lead in his next project, which he does... the night before one of the hottest, most in demand actresses working today, Kim Powers (Hilary Duff),expresses interest in playing the role. Sam wears his heart on his sleeve and has always been honest with Sammy, but now he's caught in a pickle...

A predictable fluff movie that really has no substance but is entertaining and worth watching one time. I say B.
I Wanted to Like It
God knows I wanted to LIKE this movie...but the fact is none of the characters are even likable. The male lead is pathetic and needy, the female lead is manipulative and abusive. He writes a script about what happens to him day to day obviously and his life is uninteresting. No one should have to put up with what his girlfriend subjected him to daily and no one should be so needy that they would endure it. Most of the picture I just kept my eyes closed because I couldn't stand to watch these people's lives. I like indie movies...they are usually quirky and left field humorous. I didn't find any humor in this movie and I doubt I would have spent five minutes with any of the characters. Sorry. I really hate when someone trashes a movie, but if this the BEST idea someone could come up with for cinema then I can understand the volume of POV movies and found footage.I was in a good mood when I watched this movie but when it was over I felt like I had eaten something bad.
She Wants Me Premiere
Guy meets Girl. Girl has an Ex who comes into town and makes 3's company. The fat guy is insecure and with the typical pretty girl. Fat guy screws it all up by taking his relationship fore granted. He loses the girl and she comes back.
In a nutshell that's the movie. I saw it and have to say I laughed a few times here and there. The audience laughed out loud a lot. It'd be a good movie for college kids, drinking and hanging out or a quick date movie.
Charlie Sheen was in like 2 scenes. Hilary Duff was actually in it a good number of times. I would say she is the 3rd female most in it for sure. So that was cool. Josh Gad is pretty funny, and i wasn't really a fan of his before this. I love the girl playing his girlfriend, she was by far the most serious. Followed by the Disturbia guy. He's pretty stellar in everything he does. The ex- was really funny for being a meat head sort of guy that he was playing.
Overall it had some good moments with some surprising new faces. This is a good movie to at least check out once. It's worth the stars to check out. They were all way more than cameos and I would say I was shocked how much Duff and others were actually in it,
