I found this movie very strange in many ways. I can't see it as a comedy, as many people suggest, but more like a drama.
The reason why I didn't liked this movie so much, is because the story,that is very confusing and also surreal. For example, how can a husband, that doesn't have desire for his wife,suddenly starts to like and have a crush on her again? Or even worst,accepts her back after seeing that she betrayed him?
I also found that the friendship between Andrea and Maria totally odd. I mean,Andrea sees her husband Miguel and Maria , having affairs all the time,and even on that way she continues to be friend of Maria.
Not to mention Tomas,that is a don juan who loves to be with many different women,and starts to have a crisis,wanting only one woman,all of sudden.
Maybe I couldn't understand the movie very well; but anyway, I found it odd.
Plot summary
This comedic drama features two young couples, and another couple of old friends who reenter the two couples lives. The story takes place mostly in two apartments across the street from each other in Mexico City at the end of the millenium. Intellectual Carlos is not offering as much love as wife Ana needs. Tomas, a world-traveling friend of the couple reappears after many years abroad. Across the street, womanizing executive Miguel and suffering wife Andrea are joined by visiting friend Maria. The presence of guests Tomas and Maria triggers lust, rejection, infidelities, reconciliation and other consequences of suppressed love and marital relations, among the six friends-three guys and three girls.

If you want a good movie just watch something else
If you want to waste your time this movie is for you. I have stopped watching it after the half of the movie because it does not have a single reason to keep you in front of the screen. It is one of the worst movies I have ever seen and to be honest it does not deserve 6.6 rating. Everything is so poor in this movie I do not know why some people rated with 8's and 10's.
Among the best from the re-birth of Mexican cinema.
Decent display of daily life of Mexican people in their early 30's and how they deal with sex, passion, and more.
The acting is overall good. These new actors from the new generation of "Cine Mexicano" demonstrate why they are considered among the best. Susana Zabaleta is amazing as always. She's sexy, hot, and talented. The rest of the cast is also great and give a special spark to their characters.
The screenplay is also very good and keeps you interested because there is comedy, drama, romance, and lust. So if you are into new Mexican cinema, you will mostly enjoy this movie.
On the negative side, I must say that this movie is also highly overrated because many consider it as a gem or something. The truth is that it's only purpose was to storm the box office and somehow re-birth these kind of dramatic romance comedies.
Give it a try and be objective.
