This was one of the wierdest Christian movies I've ever seen. I'm not sure what the folks behind Seven Deadly Words had as an intention. If they wanted to show Fundamentalist Christians as narrow minded and selfish no atheist could have done a better job.
A new pastor Roy Lynam has moved to town to take over a church in Connersville, Indiana where this film was shot. He gets opposition from most of the church elders for his new ideas. But especially from the head elder Mark Ginther who regards this church as his private preserve.
I've seen this plot gambit used by other more mainstream films like One Foot In Heaven and A Man Called Peter and used successfully. But here it is taken to truly idiotic extremes.
Yet overall this film about church politics in Connersville rings true in many areas.

Enjoyed this movie. The point of the movie is so real in many churches
Worst movie that I have seen on Pureflix
The plot was extremely poor in this film and there was a total lack of Christian message in the film, moreover the photography was poor. Being from the UK and not an American I have no idea what happens in your small country towns. The US appears flawed in their faith community, and here are yet another group of Do Gooders trying to politicise the gospel message of salvation. There is no salvation in the works of the law, no evangelistic message, just a twisted message of small town politics.
