Pointless retread

RAMPAGE: PRESIDENT DOWN is the final instalment of Uwe Boll's RAMPAGE trilogy. It turns out that I'd seen the first movie, which I thought was okay, but missed the second one, not that it seems I missed much. This one's merely a weak rehash of the first film, with a suited and booted antihero running around and gunning random people down. The political commentary is amusing (particularly the name-checking in the final scene) but the rest is merely repetitive and pretty stupid.

The President is bad. Kill the rich.

Uwe Boll continues the series of the life of Bill Williamson (Brendan Fletcher) who drones his "kill the rich" monologue to the point of nausea. As you can guess from the title, he kills the President...also VP and Sec. of Defense. We don't see that aspect of the movie which was part of the title. We hear about the "Trumpian" style response to the misidentified killer (don't see it either...just a major plot point),see the FBI investigate (in their office) and Bill regurgitate his Marxist revolutionary message from a hole in the ground for nearly an hour before the final confrontation. If you are the type of person who believes the local weather girl is part of a vast media elite conspiracy controlling the masses, then this film is for you.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity

The idea is better than the execution

Bill Williamson is back. He's not done with his crusade against the establishment, against the rich, against the so called elite. Brendan Fletcher plays again the role of Bill Williamson so there is not really a change. I didn't watch the second one but it really doesn't matter to follow this story. It's basically a guy killing a lot of people from the government this time, a guy angry against society. Rich people will probably not understand this movie but the rest of us might enjoy it a bit. This one is not better then the first one, it almost never is, but it's still watchable. The way of filming looks sometimes a bit like done by an amateur, so that's not great. It's just a movie good enough to watch once and then forget about it.
