This can be the best biographic movie of Turkish cinema. Timucin Esen's acting was a nirvana. The little kid was good too. I laughed and cried at the theatre... Pure art and a good salute for a good man...
Plot summary
Born into a poor family, witnessed the tragedy of his mother and his baby sister getting killed by his father in front of his eyes, a serious car accident, which he was first pronounced dead that left him partially deaf and gave him gestural and speaking difficulties, which later became part and parcel of his eccentric personality, a tumultuous relationship with a movie actress and singer who is 21 years older than him. Muslum found his redemption in music from the initial trauma that lingered over his musical and personal life as "internalizing the grief. He rose through his ashes of shattered dreams like a phoenix. He walked in darkness, sang songs filled with sorrow which stirred people's souls and created a cult following. They were calling him "Baba" (The Father). First he was the Father of the young, low-income urban misfits or rejects. With his eccentric personality, tender, mournful, resonant unique baritone voice and his unconventional vocal style, lyrics that conceal much of real poetry raw and tender he then became the Father of people from all socio-economic backgrounds. He redefined arabesque music and inspired a generation.

FATHER OF MILLIONS
This movie is so special. There wont be another Gurses, he is the only one in history, espacially in this type of music. Film is really successful about make you feel emotions of the story. No lie, I cried few times. What a dolorous life. Cast did so much better than I thought. Timucin Esen and Sahin Kendirci made a brilliant job. We can see inside of character clearly. Also musics are great, of course. But there are some problems about directing, storytelling and cinematography but these things can be tolerated after all. Rest in peace father. Your children love you.
this is not a drama this is unbearable pain
For those who do not know him or the type of music he performed during his early career , he always sang very sad and sorrowful songs , and he sang them so sincerely and effectively, his fans used to cut themselves with razor during his concerts, but he never mentioned about his personal life in front of cameras, but after I watched this film and learned about his story, I can only say, ''wow'' how could he endure such big pain and agony? I dont want to go give away any spoilers, I just can't believe a man can live with such pain you need to watch and see it for yourselves and acting was very good great cast congrats to everyone contributing to this film
