a good hollow man movie from India!

I think a lot of Indian critics is really expert, this is just a decent movie but got really bad in review like a lot of cheap budget movie from Hollywood. Its deserve around 5-6 rating I guess but with only 3.2 (1/10/2015),it looks like a really bad movie. Its not actually, an invisible man as a main theme is really interesting, added with justice value, corruption, love story. A lot of cliché rom-com movie from India got praise from critic because of that's just how Indian movie industry looks like. They cant tolerate any new theme like sci-fi, maybe they will say that they like Koi Mil Gaya (2003) but its just a "little bit rip-off" from E.T (1982) and just like everyday Hindi rom-com. Maybe this movie also one of some idea rip-off from Hollywood but it got a good different story, good acting, so-so fighting scene and I feel like its not fair to give this "good" movie 3? Its a pure entertainment and I think a lot of people will enjoy this. You cant expect 3 Idiot (2009) and PK (2014) appear every time. Just wanna say again, this is not really a bad movie. Watch this movie, you might enjoy it!

And I thought 'Creature 3D' was bad.

How to start reviewing this mess of a movie? I really do not have any idea, folks! This is so appallingly bad, that even 'Creature 3D' looks like 'Jurassic Park' in comparison. Shoddy VFX, unintentionally funny scenes, lazily scripted movie, and many things are going bad for this movie.

If you all think that being derivative is a problem, then you all are wrong, as even though a movie like 'Kick', though a remake of the original Telugu movie, 'Kick', had provided better entertainment than this. Mr. Vikram Bhatt, we all know about your obsession for 3D technology and VFX nowadays, but they are like confetti, increases the visual appeal of the movie. But the backbone of the movie is the story/screenplay, which in this case, is just lazily written and disengages the audience. Better improve this time, Vikram.

Yes, I do agree that 'Mr. X' is derived from 'Mr. X'(1957 film),'Mr. India' (1987 film) and 'Hollow Man'(2000 film),and its a bad amalgamation of these films too. So sad to even state that it had lots of potential.

Without further speech, let's dive into the synopsis. Hashmi's character, Raghu, an officer in the Mumbai anti-terrorism squad, survives a deadly attack on his life in a chemical factory by his corrupt boss (Arunoday Singh). Severely disfigured, Raghu is 'saved' by a helpful scientist who offers him an anti-radiation drug still in the testing stage that instantly results in complete cell regeneration, but also turns him invisible except in direct sunlight and in blue lighting. It's the kind of bunkum that's impossible to logically explain. Even Bhatt knows that; he gets the scientist to quickly declare it a miracle of god: "The more science knows, the more it realizes it knows nothing." Raghu, who now rechristens himself Mr X, decides to use these new 'powers' to seek revenge on his offenders. Meanwhile his fiancée (Amyra Dastur),a fellow officer in the ATS, literally "sniffs" out the fact that Raghu is Mr X, and convinced that he has gone rogue, becomes obsessed with stopping him in his blood-thirsty mission.

Off the crew, story (Vikram Bhatt) had potential, but is just screwed by its lazily written screenplay (Vikram Bhatt),as mentioned above. And, it even has continuity errors. For example, the story is set in Mumbai, but the chase scenes, and other action sequences are clearly shot somewhere in the foreign. Dialogues (Shagufta Rafique) are at times clap-worthy, at times unintentionally funny. Overall inconsistent. VFX (K. V. Sanjit) is at times outlandish and tacky. Music (Ankit Tiwari, Jeet Ganguly) is not memorable, too bad for an Emraan Hashmi/Vikram Bhatt/Mahesh Bhatt movie. The background score (Raju Singh) is captivating, though. Cinematography (Pravin Bhatt) is beautiful. Stunts (Dan Hirst) often look labored and fake. Moreover, audience gets disengaged further, due to badly conceived stunts.

Off the cast, Emraan Hashmi looked bored and restrained. Amyra Dastur has improved considerably, after her flop debut 'Issaq'. Arunoday Singh looked awkward, too bad for a villain. Nora Fatehi is just ignorable. Tanmay Bhatt hammed. Rest of the cast didn't act well.

Overall, 'Mr. X' is for those, who want to be sarcastically entertained. It will provide you unintentional laughs, guaranteed.

Bravo Bhatts....I wanna kick your Butts

Don't jump out of your skin to find a reptilian like guy hitting on a pretty girl and wins her heart instead of experiencing a brief history of pain from the back of her hand. Yes! We are talking about Emraan Hashmi !!!Save your face-palm act for later as we have numerous such examples in bollywood and what's more disappointing is that they never give up. Such movies extend the credibility gap by portraying those girls as willfully offering to indulge in carnal acts with such atrocities. Majority would question that if it were some kind of legal Euthanasia? Even you may want to slit your own throat before watching such ugly duckling get lucky again, but believe me that is his USP (Even you might have secretly wished to switch roles with him).

Storyline: Raghu(Emraan Hashmi) a short stature cop from Mumbai police was assigned to protect the CM. He proved himself worthy of it by successfully terminating a terrorist who had hijacked a roadways bus, while leaving the tough job of diffusing the bomb to the girl. Thereafter, Raghu fell into the trap of his ambitious senior(Arunoday Singh) who sets him up to kill the CM. Hah! child's play! Raghu does the job in a jiffy. Now to ensure a clean job the senior(Arunoday Singh) had to wipe out the loose ends by killing E.H. restoring the law and order back. (You must have seen this part in -Phir bhi Dil hai Hindustani)

What I like about Mahesh Bhatt is how easily he slaps on the face of any logic one could ever come across. His new anti-radiation drug could make anybody disappear by its mere ingestion. Moreover such scientific breakthrough drug was being tested in a roadside company with practically no security at all. Yeah, burn those obsolete schoolbooks and join Bhatt classes on IIN instead; his daughter had already topped IIM's in "two states" and I am sure most of us have seen that flick too. The experimental drug was carelessly tossed in a beverage refrigerator of that company and was in easy access to any Tom, Dick or Harry. The Doctor easily transported it out of the company and was pretty confident while delivering it to Raghu, maybe she also wanted him to give up the ghost.

One can assess her level of confidence when she explained that the drug was not tested even on lab mice. But much to her dismay the lecher disappeared immediately after its consumption as a side effect to that drug. F***ing nemesis !!! He could only be seen under UV radiation now..Wow ! How ? Bravo Bhatts ...I wanna kick you butts . But on the other hand this discovery solves the riddle of invisible audiences who are occupying most of the seats for this Movie. Verdict: (Vanished) /10
