I thought this movie was going to be a fun, thrilling adventure. Well I thought wrong. This movie is loaded with boredom. It over uses the same joke. And it was just not fitting. Terrible. Just terrible. Don't waste your time like I did.

Characters are awful, the story is terrible, really bad choices for character voices & the animation is slightly above the average of kids TV shows, voice sync is off for every character.

How did this awful movie get classed as an "international hit"? The budget for this movie was $30 million & it's worldwide box office total was $26 million, this movie was without doubt an epic fail yet it has a sequel with all cast returning.

Monster Family is at best a very very poor attempt at copying Hotel Transylvania & fails completely.

Unfunny, uninteresting & extremely boring.

I have mixed feelings about this film. I first saw this on Netflix about two years ago, and I was faintly amused. I haven't seen this in a while, but I remember most of the movie. I get the basic idea of this film: Family has trouble connecting, family gets turned into monsters, family has an argument, and then family realizes how much they need and love each other, then they turn into humans again and connect more. I've seen that in many other movies, but it has a nice theme.

On the other hand, I've lost some interest in this film. I'll run down the characters for you. First, there's Emma, the mom who gets turned into a vampire and wants her family to get along more. Then there's Frank, the overworked dad who gets turned into Frankenstein and whose unfortunate farting is pretty much his one defining trait.
