Average, but rather formulaic in plot and uneven in scripting!

I loved the first Miss Congeniality movie, and while this movie was better than I thought, it was merely average, and compared to the original, rather disappointing. Sandra Bullock does shine with her charm as Gracie Hart, and she makes the best out of a rather uneven script, that was rather obvious at times. Regina King is above average as her partner Sam. There are some lovely clothes that Gracie gets to wear, and there are some laughs over Dolly Parton's real boobs and Gracie's fake ones, or something along those lines. Unfortunately, everything else is not as impressive. The villains, responsible for the kidnapping of Stan and Miss USA, were lame, and were given little to do. William Shatner as Stan is given next to nothing to do, and it does show in his performance, which was not like his slightly overplayed performance in the first film. The plot, I thought was the main flaw, it was a nice idea, but on screen, it came across as rather formulaic and predictable, not to mention confusing at times. Another problem was the pace, some of the film regrettably was a bit too slow for my liking. Overall, the plot and the script bring down the spirited performances of Bullock and King, and while the sequel was a nice try, you may want to stick with the first film instead. 5/10 for effort. Bad Beginning Bullock as a B

Gracie Hart (Sandra Bullock) is too famous for her job as undercover FBI agent. Agent Eric Matthews ends their relationship, and she doesn't do well. She decides to take the FBI media relations job.

Ten months later, Gracie is a cold hearted media darling of the FBI. Angry agent Sam Fuller (Regina King) is assigned as Gracie's protection. When pageant winner Cheryl Frasier (Heather Burns) and pageant host Stan Fields (William Shatner) are kidnapped, Gracie is call in to be media spokesperson on the case.

This starts off badly in the wake of Gracie's relationship's demise. And she turns into a bitch. In one fell swoop, the movie destroys what made the original watchable. They make the dorky adorable Bullock and turn her into a mean sparkly drama queen. It is the worst move they could possibly try. It never fully recovers from it.

Very Silly and Not So Funny as the Original Movie

The FBI agent Gracie Hart (Sandra Bullock) is assigned to promote the FBI, touring with the brutal agent Sam Fuller (Regina King) as her bodyguard. While traveling around the country, her friend and Miss USA is kidnapped with Stan Fields (William Shatner),and Gracie decides to investigate the abduction in Las Vegas by her own and against the direct orders of local chief Collins (Treat Williams).

I am very disappointed with this sequel. The first "Miss Congeniality" was a funny movie, but this one is very silly indeed. There are few good moments when I laughed, but the story is horrible and corny, and the character of Sam Fuller is awful, being too much imbecile and stupid for my taste. I recently bought the two first seasons of "Star Trek" and I was also impressed how bad and finished William "Captain Kirk" Shatner is. I hope the producers be ashamed and do not release a "Miss Congeniality 3". My vote is five.
