Poignant

Worse things happen than losing football matches. Worse things happen than slipping and effectively handing a football competition to Man City. But football IS life and death to those who follow their club through thick and thin. And Steven Gerrard epitomised that love, hope and, ultimately despair of the football supporter. I feel a little low after watching this film. Steven's career deserved a happy ending. But who could ever forget Istanbul 2005? Shame that wasn't the happy ending. I only hope that one day Gerrard comes back to Liverpool FC as manager and does what he didn't quite manage to achieve as a player and wins the First Division (or whatever it is called then). A true hero of the game and even a non-Liverpool fan; even those who sing the cruel 'Demba Ba' song, could not begrudge him of the title that alluded him as a player. A wonderfully poignant 8 out of ten

Really good

Great insight into a rare sight these days.... an athlete with loyalty and heart. I am just a casual football fan here in Australia but Gerrard is synonymous with Liverpool and that is something to be proud of. Loved the style of the doco and recommend it.

Done on the cheap

Was this an official documentary because where were the interviews of Gerrard himself. All we got was voice overs from players including Gerrard along with his family and agent obviously reading from a script. .This is by far the worse amazon sport production I have seen. I respect the man himself greatly who has showed great loyalty to Liverpool fc. But this was just a very badly produced documentary and if was an official documentary Gerrard deserved far better than this. If you like football documentarys watch the far superior Sunderland till I die on Netflix that was riviting this was long and felt it. So disappointed.
