Why does up cast Joey Fatone he is such a bad actor not funny either other cast is fine. Women professionals are so cold unfeeling Maggie is nice but not a real good actress. Love Finn he is dealing with a lot needs empathy which Maggie is not good at to be a Doctor. She seems resentful of sharing Clinic with Finn that Uncle Tobias left them. Sarah and Victor are good together .Emma the Australian actress and Joey Fatone really deserve each other both so dingy.
Plot summary
Upon the death of her Uncle Tobias, thirty-something Dr. Maggie Richards returns to her hometown of Love, Alaska for the first time since she was fifteen. She will be taking over his medical clinic, True North, which has been closed for a year when he became ill and which has forced residents to make the expensive trek to Anchorage for medical care, and inheriting most of his estate, including his house. Her return coincides with the town's annual Operation Love, a corporate event bringing singles from all over the world hoping to find their true love. In Love, Maggie reconnects with her high school sweetheart Finn O'Rourke, who is a changed man from the fun-loving Finn she knew when they were fifteen. Finn is dealing with a plethora of emotional scars, from guilt over issues with his now deceased parents, and PTSD from his time as a pilot in the war. With his brother Declan now having taken over, Finn has worked as a pilot for O'Rourke Charters since he returned to Love a year ago. Because his life is like living under a microscope in Love in he believing others expecting him to be a certain way that he is no longer prepared to be, Finn is planning on leaving Love for good. However, out of circumstances related to Tobias and Declan, Finn feels like he is forced to stay in Love longer than he was planning, at least to help Maggie get True North up and running. While there are romantic sparks that happen between Finn and Maggie all over again, Finn may not be emotionally equipped to handle a romantic relationship with Maggie or anyone else at this time, which is made all the more problematic with Operation Love underway and a gaggle of singles in town, some who may have their own romantic eyes on either Maggie or Finn.

love Alaska
Pretty good movie
Plot -former redident returne to town to reopen her late uncle's medical practice. Her high school ex is in town too.
This was a Harlequin movie, but it was reminiscent of the Hallmark movie "Christmas Under Cover'" starring Candace Cameron Bure. Both female leads are doctors, and both arrive in Alaska totally underdressed for the weather. It's Alaska people, it's covered in snow, it's cold, costume departments (for both movies) put those people in coats, boots and mittens.
Ok, enough of that. I really enjoyed this movie. I have never seen eother of the leads in any movie, however they were awesome. Their chemistry was immediate and real. Victor Zinck Jr as Finn did a superb job of portraying a veteran suffering from PTSD, he did a great acting job. Sarah Podemski did an excellant job as Maggie. Supporting characters / actors were great too. Especially Joey Fatone as Hank, he was a hoot.
My advice; Watch this movie.
Poor Production Details
The production details also bothered me, distracting from the action. The costume designer doesn't know you need a coat in Alaska because it's cold? Or that most people clean out a long-closed office in jeans & a sweatshirt or sweater (it's Alaska!). The finished clinic doesn't look like any Ive ever seen - apothecary bottles in the waiting room? All the shelving was pretty but they made me wonder if the clinic was also the pharmacy, not a waiting room. I did like the two lead actors but thought it funny that a big deal was made over his red hair! The PTSD issue was a nice plot addition.
