This is a very poor film indeed and is not recommended if you have alternative choices. Cant fault Chrstian Slater, he acts impeccably, it is just he must work with a very below average script with some really cheesy and ineffective dialogue. There is no real continuity or coherency in the movie and there is no realism to the diamond dealings at all, the two women are just two charlies angels out of context. Sure there is action and thrills but nothing bolts together at all and you WILL leave the cinema or the DVD room DISAPPOINTED. thankfully its not a long movie and its over before it starts. The potential plot actually is very good, shame nobody worked on it before taking it to the big screen. Oh yes, was there a director for this film? I notice a name but doubt any professional contribution.

Christian Slater plays a successful writer who's fiancé goes missing. She was taken away by baddie Cuba Gooding Jr who thinks she stole several million dollars in diamonds from him not to mention a list of his contacts through the world. With the girl gone and believed dead even by Gooding, the focus of the hunt turns to Slater who has no idea of his fiancé's past, despite the insistence of everyone that he does. Uneasy mixing of comedy and drama lessens what should have been a good action thriller. I blame the director who takes an A-1 cast and runs them around in a film that feels like a lesser TV movie. Certainly this film is no where near as good as Slater's recent failed TV series My Own Worst Enemy. This film should have worked better. I kept thinking that I should have loved this instead of just liking it. It is worth seeing,, I think you'll probably be amused, but its the sort of thing you're going to want to see on cable because its just not worth paying money to see.

Who saw Cuba Gooding Jr and Christian Slater on fine movies, will be disappoint after the rubbish picture, what a crap story, fake gunfire, lousy chase cars, unbelievable plot, anyway, no make sense at all, the female casting just Sara Ann Schultz has a strong sex appeal, already Christa Campbell tawdry, a bit fat as well, Cuba is miscasting as Mob's chief, sounds weird a comic actor played a cold scoundrel, even Slater wasn't cushy with his role, total waste of a precious time to watch the dreadful picture!!!
