Beautiful kidnapped girl is the only highlight

All the characters make utterly stupid decisions at various points in the film, and the little brother who goes along with the whole plot is the worst one. Why in the world he was so terrified of his brother who isn't even bigger than him is beyond me. The film did NOT sell that relationship well. It didn't feel realistic. The little brothers friend, sure.. but that's the one believable character.

The plot is very stale and unoriginal, but it is interesting at times, and the kidnapped daughter is naturally gorgeous, so there's that at least.

I'd recommend skipping this one. Just look up Paige Searcy's instagram instead. Better use of your time.

The Telltale Tattoo

"Kidnapped by a Classmate" (a.k.a., "Killer Ransom," a.k.a., "Gone Daughter Gone") is a film with two of most repellent villains imaginable. The tandem of brothers in Corey and Hunter Gilbert are quite a pair.

Corey is a high school student who befriends a new student, Brooke Moore, whom he meets on her first day in class at Rosedale High School. She tries to prep him for a quiz in history class by informing him about the Lindbergh kidnapping.

When Corey's older brother, Hunter, learns that Brooke resides in the affluent Westbrook district, he improvises an illogical kidnapping scheme. As a sycophant for the ages, Corey goes along with his bro like a puppet on a string. Corey might have had a nice friendship with Brooke. Instead, he remains completely under the spell of his dissolute brother.

The kidnapping scheme is foiled to the herculean efforts of Brooke's mom, Shannon. Mother and daughter had lived a hardscrabble life for years until Shannon met Andrew. Now, when they are settling into a beautiful new home, the unspeakable happens in the kidnapping of Brooke.

One of the most interesting characters is Jade, a poor, little waif residing at the community youth detention center where Shannon is applying for a job. It is Jade who provides to Shannon the first clue about a tattoo on the kidnapper's arm that will lead Shannon to her daughter. Andrea "Lifetime" Bogart, a great fan favorite, plays the role of the sensitive mom, Shannon.

While the film was overly unpleasant with the tag team of Corey and Hunter, there was a redeeming element with the devotion felt by mother and daughter. Brooke tells the kidnappers that "we had each other" during the years of hardship they endured. The wisdom is lost on the callous brothers.

The relentless pursuit of Brooke was spearheaded by the mom who located the nefarious Hunter by way of his tattoo. In the end, it was the supermom who would stop at nothing to find her daughter, and she followed through in placing Jade in a loving family as another badge of her integrity.

too verbal, ordinary, annoying, negative

I liked this movie only for a good topic and that is crime which is also current and realistic. Also few good scary things which look authentic. But everything else is so fake, annoying, predictable, unreasonable. For example I expected more complicated or slowed end, more content and action, and different reactions of various people. Movie looks too empty, meaning missing more content in form of science, people, space. There is a presence that tells us this is not so real but acting, looking obvious. Also few holes in the story, like lack of more complete behaviors. Everything is random. Also the main girl character is so boring and natural, maybe too natural and normal. So much that she is boring. Her family and life looks too ordinary and boring. I expected something more cool, unusual, mysterious. Somehow too obvious and ordinary.
