You'd think after 15 years the special effects would get better, but the creeper looks just as cheesy as in the first movie. This was beyond boring, I fought myself the entire movie not to turn it off when I wanted to. I just kept waiting for something to happen and nothing did. The characters are ridiculous, the plot is non-existent, and the movie just plain awful.

So boring
Still as dumb as ever
JEEPERS CREEPERS 3 is another dumb-as-nails addition to the monster horror film series that I was never a fan of from the outset, having endured the original at the cinema all those years back. This one carries on exactly the same story with exactly the same winged villain, complex with his killer van and supernatural abilities. This time around he goes after a new group of young, nubile teenagers (well, it is a Victor Salva film after all) for an action-focused plot with no depth whatsoever. Salva's direction is terrible, with every single scene over the top, cheesy, and somehow fake-looking; the proliferation of bad CGI (in particular the CGI blood effects) helps none. The only thing I enjoyed was the presence of old-timers Stan Shaw (THE MONSTER SQUAD) and Meg Foster (THEY LIVE) back on screen, but they're not enough to make this in any way enjoyable.
crashing and burning
The Creeper wakes every 23 years to consume human flesh. Sheriff Dan Tashtego and Sgt. Davis Tubbs have the Creeper's booby-trapped van. As it gets towed, the Creeper attacks and takes back his van. Kirk is taken after his dirt bike friends are killed. Next, teen Addison Brandon is taken. Tashtego and Tubbs continue on the hunt.
The first problem comes from the silly booby-traps. The van has more gadgets than a James Bond car. The menace of that van driving down the road in the original movie is lost. The Creeper in full daylight is not my favorite move of the franchise and there is too much of that in this film. This also suffers from a scattering of protagonists which does not allow them to gel together. It's also trying to bind the three movies together. Unless one has watched the other two recently, it's hard to put together the pieces. On top of everything, the CGI is cheap. This is a franchise crashing and burning.
