Apparently how Errol Flynn lived his early days adventuring in Australia before Hollywood beckoned.
Whilst there are one or two fun set pieces here, this is a pretty feeble Indiana Jones lite adventure with 2 dimensional characters, some questionable acting talent and a script that must have taken hours to write.
Avoid.

Plot summary
The biopic depicts Flynn's roust-about early life in Australia, before he became an internationally famed celebrity. In those days he was an adventurer, opium smuggler, gambler, street fighter, womanizer, and gold prospector. The film, based on Flynn's early autobiography "Beam Ends," was written for the screen by Large and Luke Flynn, who found the inspiration as a result of their travels through Australia in the footsteps of Luke's iconic grandfather. The book's title refers to the last visible sign before a ship sinks.

In Like Flynn
Lacklustre story of a real hell-raiser.
I wonder if Errol Flynn would have recognised any of his young self in this depiction from the aptly named Thomas Cocquerel of his rather strutting youth in Australia. Together with crew mates "Rex" (Corey Large")' Clive Standen ("Charlie") and a rather oddly cast William Moseley ("Dook"),they follow the threads of Flynn's own "Beam Ends" autobiography as he travelled down the Australian coast having adventures-a-plenty. What lets this down is the quality of the performances: they just aren't up to much. The grittiness of the their lives - brawling; opium smuggling; womanising etc. all somehow gets sanitised. Even the fist-fighting has a sterility about it - loads of ketchup and no real sense of menace. It looks quite good, the costume department have delivered us a dapper enough hero, but it's all just a bit to... well, fake.
Hokey
Lots of really bad stereotypes (being attacked by overly costumed natives in a jungle - please!) & noticeably contrived embellishment if not largely made up making of an Errol Flynn image. I agree w/another reviewer - it was cheesy.
