Brothers in Arms

It has been a while since I last saw this ... which was quite evident when I rewatched this the other day. I did remember certain parts of the movie and I can see that this is quite the cult movie or even considered the best movie of all time by some. This is indie filmmaking at its finest - and black comedy that does not take any prisoners - literally at times! So do not be squeamish if you want to watch this, otherwise you'll be lost - or rather the movie will not stand a chance in your view.

I will rewatch the I think semi sequel one day too, but not sure when that is going to be. So many things to watch, so little and all that. But watching this is or was not a waste of time at all. Again since there is violence and blood and other things that cannot be considered "nice" (the ratings for this film speak for itself),this is not for a certain audience. And by that I'm not just talking about kids - although ... no I'm just kidding. As is the movie from time to time ... you know it is ok to laugh when there is "accidental" killing ... because it is a movie! Fun and quite light ride, with impressive and characters to remember.

Edit: Almost forgot, while I mentioned the characters, there is a noteable actor in this, who much later became famous for his role as Carl Mørck! Playing on the other side of the law, he portrays a character from crime novels ... it was fun seeing him so much younger in this one, even if he's more like a side character here.

If Tarantino and Rodriguez were Danes...

... they would have apparently created a similar works, at least in their youth. Also here, a series of crazy and violent events with "ordinary" and "mad" people involved are triggered by a small short-term event. The things will never be the same and all characters have to review their values, approaches and problem-solving methods. Solutions are often damaging and/or fatal, although the outcome is not anticipated (however, using a narrator and its role in the very ending are witty and distinct). The cast is also strong and catchy, Kim Bodnia and Nikolaj Lie Kaas, above all; the latter's recurring line "We are only cooks!" makes you always giggle.

The only question I wanted to raise throughout the film: what about police, journalists - or sometimes even witnesses? So many tough-rough acts and no response from them at all?

Still, recommended if you like twisted action comedies with fine performances.

One of the worst films I have ever seen!!!!!!!!

Just sick.In the start (about the first 2 minutes) I thought it would be great BUT then it just becomes a sick and BAD film that when it was almost end I was wondering if it was the worst thing I have ever seen????? It tries to be a Danish Pulp Fiction but what it really is you will have to see for yourself because it´s to sick to tell.0/5
