This is one of the best rom coms I've seen in a long time. Growing up in the 90's there were so many I loved but haven't seen any in year. This was definitely a good one to watch.

Cute, sweet, and funny. A few belly laughs

Day is convincing enough but Slate is the standout.

Highly recommend if you're a fan of the genre, or want a cute romantic film.

I Want You Back (2022) is a movie my wife and I recently watched on Amazon Prime. The storyline follows two individuals who work in the same building that were both recently dumped by the love of their lives. They randomly meet and discover they share the same recent personal tragedy and decide to work together to try and get back with their ex's by getting them to breakup with their new significant others and want their old flames back. In doing so of course they discover they like aspects of each other...

This movie is directed by Jason Orley (Big Time Adolescence) and stars Charlie Day (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia),Jenny Slate (Zootopia),Scott Eastwood (Suicide Squad),Gina Rodriguez (Annihilation),Clark Backo (The Handsmaid's Tale) and Manny Jacinto (Brand New Cherry Flavor).

The storyline for this was fairly clever with unique circumstances and a great infusion of comedy. I also really enjoyed the cast who played off each other to perfection. The comedic content was fresh and Day and Slate were easy characters to root for. Some aspects of the movie were predictable but it was still fun to watch unfold.

Overall this is a worthwhile addition to the romantic comedy genre that I would recommend seeing once. I would score this a solid 7-7.5/10.
