In "His Deadly Affair" (a.k.a., "Swipe Right, Run Left") features a dynamic music conductor who, in his personal life, is a serial philanderer. Maestro James Hart is having an affair with his cellist, Jessica Ashley, when she is murdered while taking a shower. The culprit is the vindictive wife of James, Victoria Montero Hart. Victoria was a police detective placed on leave after she was accused of tampering with evidence in the Jessica Ashley case.

Now, James has started an affair with his violinist, Danielle Turner. After she catches him with a woman in a restroom stall, Danielle breaks off the relationship. She later describes the gift she received from James of a bracelet with her name inscribed as nothing more than "a disgusting dog tag." James gave a similar gift to the late Miss Ashley.

A theme that emerges in the film is that there are great risks involved in online dating. While still dating Danielle, James is angling for a date with Danielle's sister Heidi on an ap called "Swipe. The sisters had a falling out when Danielle went on tour with the orchestra. The drama that unfolds enmeshes both Danielle and Heidi in the messy life of the conductor and his psychopathic wife.

After Heidi met on the dating site a sleazy character named Matthew Valence, she is kidnapped by Matthew at the behest of Victoria. For a lengthy stretch of the film, Heidi is tied up as a hostage and even subjected to waterboarding. Assisted by Heidi's kind neighbor Ray, Danielle moves into action to locate her sister.

The filmmakers sustained a breathless pace to the action with an inevitable showdown that brings together all the major characters. The big loser is the maestro, who is exposed as an embezzler, as well as a womanizer. The big winner in the sweepstakes in the neighbor Ray, who earns both the respect and the heart of Danielle. For his efforts, ol' Ray merits breakfast in bed after the big reunion of the sisters.

I am so disappointed in this movie!! I know lifetime movie characters are generally clueless and act dumb but come on!!! I felt compelled to say how Continuously stupid this whole movie was. It just dragged on and on with the same dumb scenes. It was so annoying to watch till the end. I would never recommend.

This is just plain bad. It's a p13 film that shy away from its subject matter.... This is so soap opera-ish that it doesn't deserve to be made into a film. All the scenes are so cheaply made and the musical scores that are supposed to elicit suspense does a better job at conveying humour. Plus it has faded out scenes throughout the film that are so amateurish and the less said about the acting the better.
