We can all agree on

This is way better than the first one - you also have not to watch the first one (no pun or insult intended - just the "truth"). And that is something we can all agree on - or at least the majority of those that went above and beyond - what we do for others at times.

There is some nudity here too. But this is not what makes this better than the first one (there was nudity there too, still do not watch it just because I told you that - you've been warned). No it is because it is technically better - because the story it tells is way more tight than the first movie. Maybe I am giving it a higher score than some would expect - still that is me. I reward low budget movies - most of the time.

Be the judge yourself if you have a heart for low budget movies ... or don't.

Not a Good Film but Better Than Its Predecessor

After taking an extended time away from her hometown due to the events of the previous film, "Kat" (Lisa Neeld) returns and is quickly betrayed by an old accomplice named "Rosie" (Donna Hamblin) and sent to prison for a crime that she did not commit. As it so happens, the supervisor of the prison "Warden Gibbs" (Patricia Culliton) is on the payroll of Rosie and as a result she does exactly what Rosie tells her to do which is to keep Kat alive for now but to make life as miserable as possible until she says otherwise. So with "Snake" (Len Kabasinski) dead and Kat now in prison, Rosie believes that she is now in complete control of the illegal drug market. What she doesn't know, however, is that things aren't nearly as simple as that and her situation isn't quite as solid as she thinks it is. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this sequel was a slight improvement upon its predecessor in that it flowed more smoothly from one scene to the next. However, just as in the first film, the script was still weak, the action sequences were just as pathetic as before and the sets were rather cheap looking as well. The acting was a little better this time with Deborah Dutch (as "Vegas"),Frederick Williams ("Frank") and the aforementioned Len Kabasiniski performing in a professional manner. Unfortunately, none of this was enough to overcome the flaws just mentioned and for that reason I have rated this movie accordingly. Below average.

Well, it was what it was...

Granted, I hadn't seen the 2017 movie "Hellcat's Revenge", so I don't know how much of a direct continuation of that movie this 2019 movie "Hellcat's Revenge II: Deadman's Hand" turned out to be. And since I hadn't seen the first movie, I didn't know what I was in for here as I sat down to watch "Hellcat's Revenge II: Deadman's Hand".

But watch it I did, and turned out that I wasn't overly impressed with "Hellcat's Revenge II: Deadman's Hand" from writer and director Len Kabasinski. Sure, this was a watchable movie, but it was hardly an impressive feature. If you enjoy a trip back to the days of sexploitation movies, like an abundance of pointless nudity scenes, and women fighting in prison, by all means, then "Hellcat's Revenge II: Deadman's Hand" might be something for you. But I was hoping for a more substantial movie, so "Hellcat's Revenge II: Deadman's Hand" didn't really provide me with much of any proper entertainment.

The acting in the movie was mediocre at best, and most of the women cast were cast for solely one reason; and that being having some large bodily features. Well, that and the willingness to go naked on camera.

It should be said that the storyline was actually fair enough. It was a storyline that was easy to follow and did seem to have some good old fashioned 1980s vibe to it, in terms of how the storyline was presented.

While this is definitely a B-movie and a low budget movie, I will say that "Hellcat's Revenge II: Deadman's Hand" actually fared well enough given the circumstances. There are far worse B-movies out there.

"Hellcat's Revenge II: Deadman's Hand" is hardly a movie that I would recommend you rush out to get a copy of. The movie wasn't really all that good. Sure, it was watchable for what it was, but this was hardly a memorable or outstanding movie experience. Nor is it a movie that has the contents to support more than a single viewing.

My rating of the 2019 movie "Hellcat's Revenge II: Deadman's Hand" lands on a less than mediocre four out of ten stars.
