The final scene made no sense. I was hoping that the mom was going to shut the door on him to signify that she's moved on and a different woman now, and that she would never put her kids in that situation again.

That would have been a more powerful message to women who are going through a similar situation. But she took him back in.

I think whoever made this movie wanted to send a message about forgiveness, but forgiveness doesn't mean taking your abuser back. Even if they've "changed" (they rarely change, they just mask it over until their next episode) I don't know why you'd want a man like that around your kids. Not to mention he didn't even say anything - he just knocked the door with no words or apology and she let him in.

Utterly disgusting that this is rated PG. Do not watch this with your kids. It probably has a good ending of them overcoming and repenting of their mistakes, but because of what their mistakes were and what you see and is implied in this movie, it should at least be rated PG-13. I'm a teenager, and I stopped watching it.
